Hello! I don't know if this is gonna be really weird and probably not very appropriate, and I'm probably not making the best decisions right now, BUT nevermind that! I am one of the students that went to that particular high school. Mrs.Georg (or Mal, I guess now..) was, with a doubt, the at most BEST teacher I'd EVER had. Probably the most inspiring teacher I'd had, and she was pretty much my role-model. She was caring, and very gentle with ALL of her students and cared and talked with everyone. I wasn't much of a talker most of the time, and I wholeheartedly regret that. She was an amazing teacher, and I loved taking her classes. I was shocked that she wasn't on my schedule this year, and I knew I'd immediately request for her, but I was shocked to hear that she'd left. I heard students talking negatively about her in different classes, and I always was furious with them, because I knew how great of a person and teacher she was. I recently found out about Stephen's channel around my 2nd Art class with her (Kinda creepy, I know), and I felt kinda bad, honestly for not saying or doing anything about it. I recently saw Mrs.Georg and Stephen come to my class, and I was excited to see her and him! (Thanks for complimenting my shirt BTW) But I didn't say anything, really because I didn't really think it was appropriate at the time, I do regret it though. Anyways, as your previous student, I fully agree with your decision and I hope that you will both stay happy and healthy. -Antoinette J.

I bet Mal was one of those teachers that are life changing. Teachers like you Mal are far and few between. The public school systems all over America are dark places but educators such as you are the light that a student 20 years from now will still be thinking about how you influenced them positively.

Mal, if teaching is what you love, then try being an art professor at a college. You'll be teaching mature adults who love art enough to want to make it their future, so they'll share your passion for art, and will respect you as a fellow artist, as they are adults, so they do have respect for others.

Just a small heads up, not all Art Teachers at collages get the respect they should too.... Do you really think kids right out of High school would be any different then kids in high school? I went to a Art Institute in Portland and saw a lot of problems there with respect even if we were paying for the classes. I do agree that there are more mature adults in collages, but its still not safe from what she had to go though in the other school.

Kids in high school are vicious, Mal. I know you should never say you understand how someone feels because you never walked in their shoes, but I can tell you that I've experienced similar cruelties as a student and saw the same cruelties happen to my teachers. It's disgusting. Sending all the love, Mal! (And I wasn't joking when I said earlier on twitter that I would love for you to be my art teacher. You're an inspiration.)

Her paintings are of high quality, which is impressive because of two reasons - One, because she was a full time teacher at the time her channel began and two, because she had not done much painting (of an actual painting) prior to MalMakes. Now that she can devote full time to her channel it will be interesting to see what else can she accomplish, including stuff besides painting.

I honestly think part of your terrible experience was the school. In my high school if you threatened a teacher you would get expelled in like 2 seconds (which is good, that's what should happen). What I'm the most upset about is that in my experience in HS I've had some really terrible teachers. Like I actually don't get how the think what they are doing is okay. I've also have had some teachers that I love and really want to talk to even after I graduate. After watching the vlog for so long, I can tell Mal is in the second group just on how much she loves teaching. I also feel another hinder for her was the subject. A lot of people take art just because they are forced to or because they think it will be a very easy class, so instead of being like "I have to be here so I'll make the most of it!" Their like "this class is stupid I'm not gonna do anything." My cousin is actually an art teacher, and I think she's going through a similar experience. And it actually hearts me (cont)

I think the problem is that most high schools REQUIRE an art credit of some kind, and the only class that will give it to them is that class. Even if that isn't what they are good at, they don't have a choice. It doesn't excuse their attitude, but that's the cause.

(is British) forgive me for not understanding, but why would they make an art credit compulsory for most high schools? Given what I know about the state of arts funding in most US schools (i.e. very dire), that seems really daft. What's the purpose of it, does anyone know?

Mal, you made the right decision to leave. Even though I'm only a Freshman and just started high school, I can already say that high school in general, whether it be teaching or being an actual student, is hard. With you having to deal with such hard (I couldn't think of another way of saying it) students/ tribulations, I can only imagine how difficult that must have been. You are so strong for dealing with that for as long as you did, and again, I can only imagine the struggle you had/ have to go through leaving those students who really cares about you behind, but the ultimate decision of leaving will be better in the long-run. If I had a Patreon, I would definitely support you both, as not only do you need it, but you guys deserve it. And with another sort-of transition, Stephen, you are such a good husband for helping Mal with these problems, and I can only imagine what it must have felt and looked like seeing the love of your life pretty much deteriorate in front of your eyes. I wish the best of luck for the both of you, and if I may say this - keep your head up! Now, I shall end with an Internet huh to the both of you, and if anyone wants to join, feel free! *Squishes with hugs*

It's a real shame since passionate teachers like Mal are really pouring their heart and soul into trying to help other people; you are directly trying to improve the life of another human being and give them the best chances in the future. It's a very selfless endeavour, and you deserve a lot of respect for sticking it out for so long.

You're amazing, Mal ♡ I went three years without a job because my previous boss saw me as a waste of time and money and fired me. I'm a goldsmith and this was one of the biggest and oldest companies here in Norway. The year I spent there were filled with nasty comments and humilliating lectures. He made me feel worthless and useless and I lost the passion I had for my profession. I've just now, almost 5 years later begun to establish my own workshop and do some real metal work again. I still feel nervous whenever I get a new costumer, but I will get back on top. I'm proud of you for pulling away from this now before it was too late. You still have the fire in you, I completely lost it. Take a break and attack it from a different angle at a later time. Do not give up on your passion!

That is what I want in life, someone to love and look at me in that way. You both are like the best couple and your story is beyond inspiring and amazing. I loved going through the Journey and seeing your relationship growing from the Skype calls, to engagement, to the wedding and now to this. It's amazing. Mal From the first day I watched Stephen's vlogs, you have been on of my favorite people in the world to watch on youtube and I've always been a huge fan of you and Stephen for all your work and time in videos. From the first vlog I watched to every funny moment of the journey, you have been an inspiration for joy and success in life. MalMakes is one of the best channel's on youtube because your passion, time, and kindness make everyone feel welcomed online. You are such a talented, kind, smart, and powerful person and I'm so sorry and sad you had to experience this. Teaching means the world to you and sometimes, students can be the worst! I hate when passionate educators like you have to deal with so much negativity from people when you wake up each day with goodness in your heart. People can be mean and suck in life and as a fellow kind hearted person, it's hard to deal with this because you work so hard to make the world a better place. The work of a teacher is such a hard job and as someone who has had amazing teacher's, I can say you were born to do this and are a joy to the entire field. Sometimes, life can throw some hard moments at us but it's just a reminder that we should follow our life passions and keep being happy. You reached so many students and people online with your smile and kind personality each day and that means a lot more. As someone who never does art or paint, just watching your videos game me confidence to even try as I can see a little image of you saying "Don't give up, you can do it" and that alone is one of the many reasons why you're awesome. For you both to make this decision is great because your health, happiness, and good will mean more than any job and I'm so glad that you and Stephen's love for each other will help during this hard time. I hope when you read this message, it helps to think of the amazing times you made the world laugh for just being you on vlogs or the kind notes you get from mail videos each month. With the love of Stephen, Your Family, Friends (like the amazing Hayley :), The Cats, and more, you will be so successful. Fans of the channel will do what we can to support you two and root you on as a successful youtube family. The good news is, this means MalMakes is now going to be one step closer to the #1 youtube channel (tied with Stephenvlogs and Stephenplays of course) Thank you Mal for being you each day, making awesome meals for the vlogs, and being a great cat mom for Sagan and Kepler. You are amazing and remember that this moment is just another step towards your future success. Stephen, thank you for being an amazing person and I wish you both the world of happiness. To my favorite painter and one of the best teachers ever... Thank you Mal and keep working hard to be yourself each day. You matter and are amazing.

This is something I, as an aspiring teacher, am terrified of. I know of at least two friends who were basically run out of their teaching careers, or at the very least were forced to find a different school, by their students, a few more by the school administration. I...I can't even try to picture how hard it was for you. I recall in one vlog you did mention that Mal had a hard time at school one day but refused to go into details. That enough was hard to watch but...But knowing that its been going on almost every day for every year? I think you made the right choice. I adore the both of you, the brightness that you both have and how much you love each other - I started crying within five minutes of this vlog. I am about to cry just typing this. But knowing how hard day after day was for Mal is just heartbreaking. But I believe in you two - I am sure you can make this work and I agree with Stephen - Mal's health and sanity is much more important then any amount of money. While I cannot support you on Pateon (curse being only 19) but I will always support you both in spirit, love and views. You both are amazing and I always await excitedly for the next videos from all three of your channels.

Mal, do you want me to beat someone up for you? Because you're an amazing person and, if your channel is anything to go on, you're a damn great teacher. I was never a big art student, and I never had an interest in doing art myself, but I love "going to your class," aka watching your videos. I know high school students can be a pain, I'm not too far out of there myself. That was PG-13, this won't be. So if you want the nice me, don't go past here. Student like that piss me off so much, being so bad you make your teacher fucking resign. That's absolute bull shit and is uncalled for. I was in a class like that once and I got suspended for beating the shit out of a student who made our teacher cry. Don't get me wrong, I was a shit student. I barely did my work and I failed a year because of it. But I was a damn good person. I went back last year to catch up with some of my old teachers. They basically said the same thing, great person, shit student.

Exactly. Worse thing is, sometimes, the parents will support their kids in their shitty attitude (where I'm from, we've had may cases of parents threatening or beating up teachers because the teachers gave a bad grade to a student or called them out on their attitude... yup).

Mal, you did the absolute best thing. I was an aide on the elementary level and it was horrible and I went home crying more days than not, the way the school operated, the way the kids were. I was assaulted by children intentionally. I saw kids bullied to the breaking point and we were not allowed to raise the concerns, it breaks a person. You have to do what is right for your mental state. You are amazing!

Mal, I'm sorry that this sort of step was necessary. I'm a history teacher, and I know the joy that people like you get out of teaching. Like you said, it's a passion. In fact, for those of us who are truly committed to the craft, it's a mission. Please don't let the idiots take away your joi de vivre. I've yet to get around to watching MalMakes (shame on me!), but from what I've seen on Stephen's channels & elsewhere, you have amazing talent. From one teacher to another, keep the fire burning. Keep doing what you love, even if it's in an "unconventional" format like this.

That's crazy... Earlier today when I was watching the most recent vlog I was seriously thinking "Huh, I wonder if Mal will be able to resign soon in order to work full time with KZbin..". I'm sad to hear it wasn't for the reason I hoped for, being that she simply could make a living out of it... But like Stephen said, health is more important, and I'm happy to see her happier now. I can also somewhat relate to this, only that I, as a student, dropped out of the third and last year of high school for similar reasons. I'm glad you two are in a happier situation now, be it in a more unstable situation financially... You have my support

I knew this from Patreon, but seeing it again makes me sad. Mal, you are an amazing person and you have overcome so many hardships and rough decisions. Ultimately, you made the right decision and did what was best for your wellbeing. Stephen said that your dream of a house was gone, but that's not completely true. It'll just be delayed a bit. And when you are ready to try teaching again, I hope you find a school that will defend you when you are threatened, or that has a bunch of students eager to learn from you about art.

Mal, it's good to know that you've managed to take yourself away from that situation, because in reality nobody deserves to be treated in such a way. you're truly an inspiration especially to me since I have a very low self confidence in my own work and have seen the bitter end of kids like that for a while. trust me as you already say it gets better, when i stood up for myself and took myself away from the people who hurt me it was like I was a whole new person. i love your videos they are amazing I'm always extremely impressed by the quality and accuracy of the paintings, since I'm quite a nerd myself I love watching every one. (side note: your chulip painting was AMAZING 😍) anyway just stick it out because there is always something good on the other side. you are an amazing person with a really supportive partner and you should feel proud of all your achievements especially in your channel, (and other things too!) i hope you can find momentum quickly and be back in your stride because we all love you, yes unconditionally but still the same. xxx stay strong. 💪👌 B.

The feelings that I am feeling right now, Mal, just bring me back to my school days. I can't say that I know how you feel, because I'm not a teacher. But I can tell you I feel horrible for you. I am livid, shocked, disgusted, and sad at the same time. Because I know what it's like to be burnt out from something you love because of horrible students. I know what it's like to be ridiculed, mocked, yelled at, made fun of, and threatened nearly every day. I was a completely different person before middle school. Sure, I was bullied every day in elementary school, but all that was was calling me fat, which I didn't care about. But I still loved learning. I still loved school. Then the bullying got worse and worse and worse, until I started skipping to keep myself relaxed. And this came into high school as well, which is sadly where you had your experiences, and my passion and love for school and learning died. It's terrible to see and hear someone's passion for anything be destroyed because of horrible students like yours and the ones I had to deal with, who take pride on ruining people's days, and their moods and everything. I'm so happy that you did the right thing and put your mental health over a job like that. Don't let your passion die out, Mal. Because in my experience, once your passion for things you truly love die out, then your passion for everything dies, and soon even your passion for life . Take it from all of us, Mal, find any way possible to keep that passion of yours, while still keeping your sanity and mental health. From casual viewers to the hardcore Stephenites, I can say with utmost confidence that we all love you and care about you. Don't end up like me, and many others Mal. Keep that flame of passion burning bright and hot for the rest of your life. And I'm so sorry that this has happened to you.

Mal, It's so good to hear that you've stepped away, at least for now, from something that was hurting you. It takes a lot of strength to acknowledge that anything that you love has been hurting you and to finally pull away from it and try to find a way to "fix" it, however you can. While I can't say that I know exactly how you feel, I did something similar myself, and I know how hard it can be to do anything like this. I--and many, many others!--support you and Stephen 100%

If anything, this makes me wish I wasn't a poor college student, so I could afford to be a patron of you both. Over the years I've watched, I've noticed that Mal is one of the most amazing people I've ever seen, and not just on KZbin. She's an incredibly hard worker (it boggles my mind that you were able to juggle cats, the apartment, Stephen's channel work, Mal Makes and a job that was hurting you like this at the same time this past spring), a naturally funny and enthusiastic person, always wanting to improve the times others are having, and a insanely passionate artist, entertainer and friend. The fact that multiple kids across the years have treated you so poorly is, unfortunately not completely incomprehensible considering the youth of today, but it truly shows that those kids must have been in such bad places themselves to stomach their uncalled for and, I'm assuming sometimes vicious, actions against such a warm, caring and supportive person. I know that you two will succeed in the future. While that success might not come in the form of a new house or stable income in the near future (which is undoubtedly important, but I prefer to be sappy haha), you will continue to reap the rewards of entertaining a great community and inspiring many to pursue their own passions and make the world a better, more creative and more accepting place. I know this because you both, as is evident over thousands of days, have hearts of gold and, for one, have inspired me to tackle new things and evaluate my life and my person everyday to set goals for being a better human being all the time. And that's no exaggeration. So in the end, you definitely did what was right and necessary. It's a pity some have to ruin the joy others have in life out of spite, jealousy or whatever abstraction is currently plaguing the misbehaving youth. Mal, you didn't deserve the way you were treated, not unless it was opposite day for multiple years in a row. I love you both. :)

(Okay, so if my English is not perfect I apologize in advance) My heart sunk when I saw Mal on the verge of crying at the beginning, and then it shattered when she teared up. Mal, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I know how cruel high-school kids can be. My classmates were assholes like that, and I had to watch my teachers cry and scream, helpless. Now, ten years after that, I'm a music student. My plan is to work in kindergartens or elementary schools. I'm so afraid of teenagers, I don't want to go through those horrible times. Anyway, I just wanted to send you a big, big hug ♥♥♥ Have you considered teaching to little kids? Some of them come from families that don't care about them, parents that don't hug them or tell them "I love you". And then those childs enter the classroom, hug the teacher, have a great time singing with their friends and dancing... art is therapeutic, and so essential for their development. And seeing them improve week after week is extremely rewarding. You probably decided to teach in high-schools for a reason, and considered your options. Now I humbly ask you to consider my comment if you haven't already. The world needs more passionate teachers like you. You are a beautiful person, Mal, in every aspect. I wish you both the best, I havent been following your vlogs for very long but I just wanted to send you al my support. Sorry if I said anything you already knew or have already done. I know first hand, being in high school myself, how disgustingly students treat their teachers, especially those who are involved in the arts. I know how tough it can be, being so passionate about the arts and people not appreciating what you can bring to the table. Just know that everyone here on all three of the channels and many others feel very deeply for you and give you as much support as we can give. Truthfully, I would give my life to see my favourite people in the world happy and secure, and I would, but given that I'm only 15 with no job I'm kind of limited. Anyway, I wish you Stephen, the kitties, Deb and Steveand everyone else in your life the best and God bless.😇

If Mal really wants to make a little extra money outside of Mal Makes, she could probably do commissions for people. Maybe she could even integrate those commissions into her channel as well. Not only would you get money from the channel, but also from the fixed amount with the commissions. She could even look at seeing if she can get a KZbin red series going for learning basics of Painting or something. It's just little ideas for you guys to look at. I can also see a lot of the paintings going onto shirts and especially Phone Cases and stickers if you took good quality photos of them. Maybe a Mal Makes DBH would help. I know I don't have enough money or room for posters or the paintings but I could probably buy Stickers of her art. Again, these are ideas for her to bring into KZbin and her art and yet get more money coming in. If she needs people to talk to, I would definitely love chat and help her think of awesome and creative ideas. I am a artist myself doing DBH and commission work. Also, The big money goes into Cat Videos. lol, trying to lighten the mood. But for real, I know a lot of how you feel Mal, I know how hard it is having people be verbally abusive to you. I do agree that you did the right thing, and in that, you have my full support. Those who were that harsh with you don't deserve to have a awesome teacher like you. I myself am trying to get away from the main job I have just because of the same sort of deal, its Cashiering and not teaching, but the abuse I run into with both customers and with workers and managers is similar. Just remember, your not alone. You have a loving husband and your viewers (Including me) looking out for you. And I can't wait to see your next video on Mal Makes, I know it will just be as awesome as the last.

So I am a long time follower of StephenPlays and have been meaning to check out the vlog... and picked a really great first video! But I wanted to say that the Stephen and Mal Let's Plays are always my favorite. I struggled with depression some years ago and watching the channel actually helped me get through some of the really tough days, so Mal you have been a positive force in my life even though I was never your student. I am so sorry for the struggles you have had to go through and (though I am young and my advice is practically worthless) I think that you made the right decision to get out of such a poisonous situation. I also think that MalMakes is perfect for getting sponsorship, which I believe should be looked into as soon as possible, and likely really good for affiliate links. I live in a small town, and while a few kids were disrespectful and would be like that to their teachers, they were such a minority. I added up the subscribers for MalMakes, StephenVlog and StephenPlays and the total was 199,788. I did so to illustrate a point for both of you. There are nearly 200,000 people... 200,000 lives that you both have touched and changed for the better through your talent and art without ever meeting most of them. Not many people can say that. I think you made the right choice, and really only choice considering the circumstances. Just know and never doubt that you have thousands of people all around the world who have you both in their thoughts and prayers. You have pointed out in several Q and As how many people found you through the Twilight Princess LP...thats how I found you myself...thats not because of Zelda or the quality of the game (there are a thousand Zelda LPs out there) what makes it special is YOU. You're two sides of the same coin and someone can stumble upon an LP knowing nothing about either of you and immediately know they have found something special. Mal teaching...and Stephen jumping off waterfalls he was told not to haha. Be HAPPY, we're with you! P.S. Just for Mal: You are an amazing talent that I see grow with every video. You teach naturally...I know you prepare extensively haha but watching your videos, all of that melts away. You're engaging and make it feel more personal. I had a very similar situation at my prior work as well. I had a very nasty co worker who said some very nasty things directed towards me almost every day. I resigned because I recognized that it was hitting me just as hard as this. People no matter the age can be quite savage. In my situation it was affecting my social life and home life. I shall say that it sucks resigning from something that you love. I can honestly say that I have a greater respect for art from watching Mal's videos. Heck I'm even developing some skill in the craft. Just keep on being yourself. Keep on being yourself. I am very happy to hear that you did not just give right up on teaching. If anything that's just another person who I have known of that has not given in despite just how savage people can act towards one another. A wise man told me to never give in and conquer all. Even though I never had you as a teacher growing up. I see someone with a passion for their chosen craft. Many of the professors I grew to enjoy shared that passion for their profession. Thats probably why I enjoy your video's Mal and why it got me back into a new hobby. Many hugs and positive vibes your way.

Wow... Mal, Stephen, I'm so sorry to hear about this happening to you guys. I clearly remember watching the original videos when they first came out where you got your first classroom and you were so excited and eager to start. But hearing about what your students said and did to you... it sadly isn't hard to imagine. It's not fair for them to have treated you the way they did. You're such a sweet, kindhearted, wonderful woman and they had no right to take advantage of you like that. It was brave and incredibly strong of you to return every year that you went back despite everything you had gone through, and that in it's own is worth a medal. I hope that whatever you choose to do to continue in life, be it continuing on with your teaching career or with Mal Makes, will go so much better because you deserve it, you and Stephen both. I know you can do whatever you put your mind to, so no matter what you chose to do, I'm (and all the rest of your fans, I'm sure) are rooting for you! Stephen & Mal, I can't fully express this in words, but all my thoughts and prayers are with you guys. Probably my favorite youtube channels. There were a couple years where my mom went from job to job, with a not-so-steady income. The one thing I took away from those years was if we push through the hard times, good will come out of it. Best of luck to you guys. Such a brave thing to step out into a pretty much unknown environment, but I know you guys will make it!

I'm glad to hear that Mal's resignation has led to better things for both of you. I'm sorry to hear about the bad things that have happened to you in your Art class. I'm very excited to see more of MalMakes , StephenVlog, and StephenPlays content. Thank you both for all the hard work you do. Seeing how you both soldier through hardships and general hard-work inspires me as a person. Thank you both for what you do. I look forward to the time when Mal is in a teaching position again. Thanks Mal for being such a great inspiration.

Saw the title of the vid and knew what it had to be about. Mal, I'm so sorry that you had to go through this. So many kids these days just don't have respect for anyone anymore. I haven't watched all your vids, but I can see your talent and your passion in what you do. You are an amazing artist and any kid should feel lucky to have you as a teacher. Stephen, you are an amazing husband for realizing that this had to happen now before it got worse. You are both wonderful people and I know you will come out of this stronger for it in the long run. I wish I could do more to help, but right now all I can really do is keep watching your vids, which I most certainly will. Good luck to you both and God bless!

Thank you Stephen and Mal for trusting us with this and showing a moment of weakness for both. You're both so strong and good and kind I'm sure you'll overcome anything and everything that's thrown at you. I wish there was more I could give you both, and I will once I can. Lots of love and support goes out to you.

Keep doing what you guys are doing. Leaving something so mentally destructive was a great decision. I hope Mal continues make even more amazing art and is happy. A friend told me this recently, and I think it pertains to you, as well: Your mental wellbeing is the most important thing in your life. Do what you need to do to stay healthy and happy. Love watching you guys. Keep being awesome. I wish I could help more, but right now all I can do is watch your videos and cheer you on.

Mallory you are worth so much more than that bad situation at school. You are strong enough to know when life is trying to poison you. Thank you for standing up for yourself and stopping them from being allowed to hurt you! Good job Stephen for supporting your courageous wife.

That is definitely the hardest thing I have watched online. Having watched the vlog for the last couple of years and growing to love seeing both of you, it is so sad to see how much you were suffering behind the scenes. I am so glad Mal that you are out of that toxic environment and that you can now enjoy doing MalMakes without having the anxiety of school. The fact that this video as of writing this comment has over 1,200 comments just shows how amazing we think you two are. The KZbin community on this channel is the best one I have ever seen and it is because of the great, caring personalities the two of you have. And I truly believe that now you are doing MalMakes full time, you will reach greater heights that even you may have thought were not possible. Your talents Mal as an artist and a teacher will grow and we will all be backing you every step of the way.

Stephen and Mal I admire your guys honesty about the whole situation. Teachers are one of the biggest blessings we have in our society, and its terrible to see how kids treat them. You guys produce great content, and look forward to whats in store for Mal Makes.

Man. I'm really sorry for what happened, Mal. Though I rarely see this happening at my high school, when it happens, it's just painful to see. I'll support you two more than I've ever before, because you guys are such amazing people, and I'm very glad to be a part of this fanbase. Seriously, if I could, I would love to have you as my art teacher, Mal. I love it a lot as well and learning it from you would be amazing.

I dropped everything when I saw this video in my subscriptions. I'm so sorry that it came to the point where you had to make this decision. People say high school is rough for the students, but I can only imagine how bad it is for the teachers. (And I thought being in customer service was bad.) It just ... shocks me how people can act that way. All I can say is that I know you guys will be able to push through this. Mal, you're compassionate and talented and funny and if you can survive years of dealing with mean students, especially high schoolers, you can get through anything. I'm sure several people have said it already, but Stephenites and Malmakers (?) (I don't know if there's an official name for Mal's fans yet...we'll just call them MalMakers for now) are going to be here for you two in any way we can. We're here for you!

Mal, I'm proud of you for doing what's best for yourself. It takes so much courage to do that, and life is too short for us to feel stuck in a position that is draining the life and joy out of us. I just wanted to write you a little word of encouragement and say you go girl! I absolutely love MalMakes, and I'm excited to continue to see your channel grow! I'm praying for both of y'all! Take care!

Damn. That was heavy; to top it off it was downright painful...Mal you are an amazing human being and what you have shown most of all in this vlog is fortitude. Stephen you hit the nail on the head; people and their mental states come before money and such other vices. I'm very proud of you both and am wishing with all my heart that you stay strong. With love, a face in the crowd.

Mal, I am so sorry you had to go through that. No human being deserves to be treated that way especially teachers. I wish you nothing but happiness in the future.

As someone who looks up to and respects Mal with all their heart, and as an art student as well, it truly hurts to hear the things she's gone through. It's disgusting to think about how someone as kind and caring as Mal had to deal with kids like that. Nobody like her deserves to go through those things. As disheartening as it is to hear the potential financial struggles the two of you might face in the future, I am so glad to hear that Mal doesn't have to face those horrible teenagers again. Knowing that she is regaining her spark just makes this all a little bit brighter. You two are incredible and amazing people, and my heart goes out to the both of you.
