Are you really knitting all the time? Do you have a team? Hw do you know what works and what doesn't? Etcetera etcetera. I knit all the cuffs on my crochet sweaters because I do both and prefer knit ribbing, I'm always thinking of ways to come up with a 50/50 crochet knit pattern so I love that shawl a ton!

I remember when you were here in the Twin Cities. I thought your work was a bit avant-garde for me. But as you have grown, and learned things, I have enjoyed every bit of it! I have done the Hiberknitting 4 (?) times now. I did the year of socks, and I bought so many patterns I don’t know when I will get them all done. This year was my first time doing the shawl MKAL. I LOVED it. Playing with the colors especially blending with mohair brought the joy back to my knitting. I wore my finished shawl to the grocery store and a woman who complimented it recognized it as a Westknits shawl ❤🎉

I knit 20 of your designs this year, some twice, and 12 of them were shawls. I started the year with a blanket and am ready to do the same in the new year. Needless to say, I'm going to want to knit a Geogradient blanket too now... I love blankets and shlankets. Probably as I like to wrap one around me when I'm cosied up knitting. I love that it has the granny square centre too. A timeless crochet motif. I might go wild and spend the time to edge it in a thick multistitch icord bind off lol. I'm considering needing a dip stitch shoulder bag to hold some stuff.

The painting rainbow shawl was the first shawl I have ever knit and gifted to my mom for this years Christmas. I am so obsessed with your colors because it's so out there and I have a huge problem buying crazy colors with no plans for any of them.

On crochet details: I love to crochet a single crochet at the hem of cardigans instead of icord to get some shape and sturdiness at the bottom. Or crochet the button band in the front.

Happy new year, I love the idea of pup sweaters but I don't have a pup, however close friends do but they are quite a bit larger than Brioche and Stitch. I've been told that's it's a real challenge to get 'sweater' type jumpers on them, they need more of a cardigan style, is there any chance of this next year 💜

I won't deny it had an unexpectedly negative start. But for many of us that ugly duckling turned into a beautiful swan. My shawl has become a firm favourite.
