i work in a hospital and have sat with many people as they died. I often struggle to find words to describe what i see. But the best way i can , is to say..the body is just a container , a husk, a shell an the spirit or essence of the person leaves first and the husk, the shell, the body can continue to breath, the heart can beat, but the soul or spirit leaves. i hope it goes on, and on and on, but i also know what you meant about sleeping without the dreams. and yes, while we are here and what we do is more important than when we leave these bodies behind. I'm an older woman....probably way older than most of your subscribers!....and I have never had the attitude that you have about living your life in the moment....I've always been a worrier, and realize that I've held myself back from experiencing so many things and adventures because of fear. Fear of taking a risk. My own mother passed away a few months ago, and it has made me reflect on life, and what I want from the rest of my life. I don't want to be bogged down with society and the 'rat race'. I want to feel the sea breeze on my face, hear the ocean, listen to the birds in the mountains, grow my own food, and keep some chickens, and pat some dogs and cats! Basically....I want a simple, stress free, quiet life, away from the madding crowd. I want to experience other cultures. my ex girlfriend had a lung transplant in 2014. She also has CF. she’s luckily still here. we don’t talk anymore but I’m glad she’s alive. the last time I spoke to her she’s in college. she goes to ucla and lives on campus and really likes it. her dad and dogs are only like two miles away too so that’s cool. I’m happy for her. but it was really really hard on her. i believe she’s mostly recovered now. she was a bit better when we met in March 2017. I hope she’s doing well

I hope you get better quickly! My aunt had a child die from CF. It was a long time ago, before they tested pregnant women to see if they carry the gene. The test wasn't done when I had my 2 oldest daughters, however it was when I had my youngest. I tested positive as a carrier, so they tested my husband, and luckily he is not a carrier. They said both parents have to be carriers, which I know you already know! They said my children have a 50% chance of being carriers and I have urged them to get the testing done before becoming pregnant so they can be informed ...and prepared encase their child could have CF. You are an inspiration on how to live life to the fullest. 🙂

i really needed this video right now so thank you. i just found out i have liver disease as well as like 3 other things that may speed up my process.. since i was a kid I was already extremely afraid of dying but now I even more am, and anxiety is more unbearable than ever. You’re stronger than I am, unfortunately i turn to drugs. but hearing the way you think of things to cope helps. Dear Stephi, thanks so much for sharing how you feel about dying. I have been going through a very rough patch. I found out a year ago that herniated discs in my neck were beginning to press on my spinal cord and I fell over a week ago and ended up getting a cervical collar put on for the first time and a total spine c-scan revealing more spinal cord compression lower and basically my spine is falling apart. I am completely bone on bone in my lumbar from L-1 to L-4. T-7 & 8 have ruptured completely and the worst is my neck. It is getting hard to hold my head up, I get spasms so bad in my upper shoulders and neck. But anyway, I am 45. I was crying last night because I’m inoperable and I’m trying to be strong. You are wise beyond your years. We do need to live life a day at a time. Love & light.✨💫❤️

I have had asthma my whole life and decided to be an idiot as a teenager and smoke... my son has asthma too... having difficulty breathing is hard enough.. but can’t compare to what you’re going through ! watching you live your life with the illness you have is truly beautiful, inspiring and the energy you give off makes me question why I would ever take my lungs for granted. It's so odd you upload this today. My cousin and best friend (and the whole reason I found your channel) since he was born and I was 9 months old just died today from CF issues. 5 days before his 30th birthday. I appreciate your outlook on the idea, it's something that happens to us all, some sooner than others (no matter how scary it could be). I don't really know how I found your channel.. but its intresting hearing how you don't think about dying and you just live your life. I say intresting because to me I'm manic depressive bipolar and I've attempted to take my life many times and even to this day suicidal thoughts are really hard for me to not listen to. Stephi Hold your arms straight up in the air with your palms facing the ceiling do that many times a day it opens up the lungs Also no steam go into the bathroom and run the cold shower sit down and breathe in the cold air trust me please my son was diagnosed with asthma at the age of 5 he was giving all types of prescriptions and steroids and I threw them out. I did this for him religiously also very important is nasal washes you want to clear your passageway when you breathe in it's imperative that you do nasal washes but again I'm going to stress lung exercises holding your hands up in the air with your palms facing the ceiling please just give it a try

Hi Stephi :) I saw that you're out now and back in LA, but this vid resonated with me a lot and I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your life with us. My partner has a degenerative/progressive disease (Ankylosing Spondylitis), and is currently dealing with breathing issues (albeit due to other reasons such as his ribs are fusing to his spine in the back where they attach making it hard for his lungs/rib cage to expand). Also, my mom passed from COPD (another respiratory disease if anyone is wondering) when I was 22. so I had to see her go through the Nebulizer treatments, the hospital visits, etc etc. It is truly a hard life at times, so to see you thriving and living to the best of your ability is awesome and I love watching. That's it, just wanted to say thanks and you're awesome and I hope nothing but the best for you!

I will continue to Send You Reiki Healing hearing Ur story and truth about Cystic fibrosis makes me think 🤔 do I have it too? I have asthma but I get many sickness here in the East coast too. I was born n raised in NY state but I moved to Arizona and lived there over 10 yrs. while in AZ I had less issues with asthma and illness - I was able to breathe there. Anywho , I have moved back to NY again since 2015 and I noticed I get sick more often again. And It’s hard to breath here.
