Steph, you're an astonishing teacher. Encouraging without self-righteousness or pomposity, self-effacing while utterly engaged, personally revealing enough to show our common human frailty, but also relentlessly hopeful and doggedly determined to succeed - AND it's not all some theoretical, nonsensical sales talk: it's real, with real results for mere mortals.

Thank you so much for this video! So much exercise content is about losing weight or getting your body to look a certain way. It's a good reminder that it's a joy & privilege to be able to move your body.

Many years ago I've lost two friends (who were siblings) because of cystic fibrosis. Whenever I watch your videos I can't help but think that they could still be alive if only Trikafta came out a decade earlier. Even though you point out that it doesn't work for everyone. But in the here and now, I am so glad that it works for you and that you finally get to enjoy living! Your hapiness and the fact that Trikafta is changing lives today is somehow giving me peace. I wish you all the best in life and that you get to do and enjoy everything you want to. Thank you so much for your videos.

I'm so glad you're still here :) I'm disabled with multiple chronic pain conditions and I'm so glad you mentioned mental health as well. Fitness can be any kind of movement, even if it's just dancing for 10 minutes, a short walk, or a quick stretch. It all counts and it's all so beneficial for mental health, especially for those of us in the chronic illness community! ❤

I needed to hear this so badly today. I am still grieving the loss of being able to use my body the way I used to. It’s the new little losses that get me. But finding what I still can do, motivates me to keep seeking out more. “Any movement is exercise” is my new mantra 🖤 thank you beautiful human!!

@@priscillapowers1014 I needed to hear this too. Doctors need to focus on emotional health as well as any other health issues. ( a prayer for all who suffer in one way or another ). I just started watching your channel about six months ago. Each time I tune in, I see someone living their best life... ups and downs. I have been on my own healing journey for 9 years now and as someone who could barely move for about a six month period, I cherish each Zumba class, every weight lifted and every plant I tend to in my gardens. Keep on, keeping on sister! ✌🏼💜💫💃🏼🌻

I found your channel maybe 2 or 3 weeks before you started those lifechanging, lifesaving meds. And I always check back for updates to see how you’re doing. Your life before and after is so markedly different. Like two different people, but the same at the core of your being. Watching as you’ve transformed, watching you become the version of yourself you were always meant to be, it’s been absolutely amazing. I’m so so so happy for you ♥️

I just lost an incredible friend who was such a light in this world to an autoimmune disorder at only 35 years old. With a broken heart, I remembered this channel and came over with the intention of hearing a story of hope. I’m blown away by your progress and it makes me so incredibly happy!! Even the way you talk now is full of breath and full of life. Thank god for this medication. I’m so happy for you. I’m on a fitness journey myself, with a chronic illness, and you’ve just inspired me even more to amp it up. Thank you for being such a huge source of inspiration to so many people!! ♥️

My sister was getting really bad with her CF a couple years ago but with clinical trials and pharmacal improvements she is now superseded the life expectancy of 2 to now 21 years old since they came out with the pill for her gene type and I love her so much, and so happy and thankful that she is able to live a better quality of life. She now doesn't take as much drugs as she used to, she no longer needs a G-Tube and a port, and she doesn't need to go for nowhere near as many appointments as she used to.

I have been watching your videos for approximately 5 years. I was always inspired by the way you lived your life despite your health condition, but seeing you now and after being diagnosed with hypertension at the age of 25 helps me a lot. I have been through A lot of frustration and anger, I asked myself, why me? My life has changed completely and sometimes I can't accept it, being young and not being able to do so many things that other young people do makes me very desperate. I hope one day to see myself the way I see you now, moving forward despite everything. You are a very strong woman and a great inspiration to me. Blessings from the bottom of my heart..! ♡

I'm 60, I've had a few motorcycle accidents earlier in my like, I leant to appreciate being able to be active. I was a bit reckless in my teens, 20's and early 30's. When I was 21, I was T boned by a car while riding my motorcycle, threw me in the air for 30 feet, broke my left femer, it is now an 1 inch shorter, and I was on crutchers for 2 years, had to learn to walk again, as there was a bone graft from my hip that dameged nerves and leg control. Then when I was 26, I flipped a sidecar at 60mph, due to a sudden flat fon tyre, fractured L4 and L5 vertbrea, crushed discs, broke my left lung and ribs, took 3 years to recover, and had my back fused in 2016, 27 years later, because I was losing control of my legs and could barely walk. The nerve to my legs recovered a bit, with the reduced pressure on them, due to calcification. Now my lower legs are half numb, and I have poor balance. I did motocross and enduro in the 80's and 90's, fractured my pelvis in two places, had 4 weeks in hospital, and 6 months of reccovery. Since then I've done classic motorcycle track racing, no accidents. I still ride everyday, and have continued to ride motorcycles and sidecars. I recently got into adventure motorcycle riding, to push myself physically and because I love riding in the bush. Being in hospital so much, and having to recover from accidents, has taught me that being active and keeping is a privelage that you have to keep working at. I find your story helps reinforce my motivation at being active.
