People forget Castle was picked 4th. In any normal team the 4th pick is starting. But for Castle he will probably have a role similar to Sochan's first year. Probably playing various positions and being put in a lot of different rotations to learn where he is good. I expect him to play 25 minutes a game and average around 10 ppg and 4 assists

The more interesting situation is Tre Jones. He's on an expiring deal and abruptly finds himself behind Chris Paul in the rotation. If Stephon Castle also takes minutes from him at the PG spot then it gets even murkier. I think we see Castle play in tandem with either Paul or Jones in the backcourt much of the time if only to allow them to get their best players on the floor more often. A true 3 PG rotation is just unlikely. With that said, I have no doubt that Paul will get some veteran rest days which will allow Jones/Castle to be a more traditional starter/backup dynamic. But what happens at the trade deadline? It's almost certain that at least one of Paul or Jones gets traded. I wouldn't be surprised if Paul gets flipped to a contender (and that was essentially discussed in advance when he signed). But Tre Jones is unlikely to resign in 2025 and could just as easily be on the move in February.

I'm really excited to have so much playmaking on the team this year. I think we have a lot of talented guys outside of just Victor that were heavily hindered by self creation limitations. I'm expecting to see the guys like Keldon, Sochan, and Zach Collins be noticeably more productive this year with a dedicated floor general on the court at any given time. I'm also encouraged to see the shooting growth from Tre, Castle and Sochan to prevent teams from sagging off poor shooters. All that in theory is a recipe for playmaking heaven.
