Curry saved the teams’ ass in the semis & gold games. Was easily the best and most important player. Yet when LeBron is stat padding in blowouts against South Sudan & Puerto Rico (instead of Kerr playing Tatum), that’s supposed to matter MORE than Curry showing up and being the best player on the court in the last 2 games? Having 2 good games doesn't justify being the MVP when their were a total of 6 games played. Where was Curry for the other 4 games? If you are good at math, you can clearly see he did not show up those games being he scored 36 and 24 points the last 2 games yet he averaged 15 for the Olympics. Lebron averaged 14, also led team in rebounds, assists and fg%. As for padding stats, Curry played just as many minutes as Lebron in the Olympics, he just didn't capitalize in those first 4 games. Ridiculous 🤦‍♂

Marbury was right. He was there in person watching the game. No one knows who or how that MVP was decided. Brian Winhorst the ESPN analyst could not find out, but said the decision was made before the gold medal game was played.

I have been a Laker fan since they came to Los Angeles. I am very fed up with Lebron James and his ego. I hope him and his son find some other team to play with next year. I watched the championship game yesterday. Lebron turned over the ball on numerous occasions. I was disappointed that other players were not given an opportunity to play. It's really inconsequential for any of these guys, but Lebron getting it isn't crazy at all since he had 14.2ppg, 6.5reb, 8.5ast, on 66%FG with 1.3 stl and 0.3 blocks. The MVP is voted on based on pool play as well. Even if only the tourney part counted he still would have been a top 2 contender for it.

Steph Curry deserves MVP. Steph Curry was the answer to international teams lighting up team USA in 2004. If we can remember, that USA team didn't win gold because they couldn't shoot, but the international players were raining jumpers from deep. The NBA changed after the 04 Olympics, with the NBA moving the 3 point line back to its original distance and the game starting to transition from playing inside out, to outside in. It started with Mike D'Antone and the Phoenix Suns. Then the Golden State Warriors took that concept to the next level when they drafted Clay and Steph Curry. Steph is the leader of the new NBA game. And I am glad he was able to put his shooting skills on full display on the world stage.

I saw the Serbia and France games. U.S. win over Serbia was a total team effort and all the U.S. players did their part, it was wonderful to see. U.S. over France it was Curry, hands down. Not only did Curry points matter but each basket took its toll on France psych. I didn't see all the games but in the France game Curry was the MVP hands down.

LeBron had more consistent play time in the game from the beginning. However Steph pulled the US' bacon out of the fire and had the biggest impact which led to the team actually WINNING!, especially those last 2 or 3 games. I really don't know how and why there needs to be an MVP in an Olympic game which is country against country. TEAM SPORT is what it is and should be with no focus on individuality.

Curry was indeed the best US player the last 2 games, but LeBron not even once was the best US player in the first 4 games. Look for yourself: G1 = KD G2 = Bam G3 = Ant G4 = N/A, but if anyone it'd be Embiid G5 = Steph G6 = Steph Of course the last two games were the most prestigious and the most difficult. Performance in those was more important to Team USA success than the first four games combined. Which is why Steph should be the MVP if we really put politics aside.

The opening of the Olympic ceremony clearly demonstrated a disrespectful stance/distaste concerning Christianity. Stephen Curry is a Christian, who acknowledges God on his sneakers and with his completed shots by tapping his chest and pointing to the sky (I HAVE A HEART FOR GOD)! I think the Olympic committee didn't reward him MVP due to their non-religious views and their weak apologies. Either way...KD acknowledge the God in Steph and the presence of Favor was exhibited in his game.

If he didn't have the ball, he couldn't have taken shots, which means he would've been +60% from the field. To be honest, I've never heard of the Olympics MVP until yesterday. I was upset that Stephen Curry didn't get recognition. He's the one that carried USA for both the Serbia and France games. Man does this stuff ever get exhausting to y’all. We know the games these people play. We know the circus around trying to proclaim Lebron as the GOAT. We just need to accept this is how it’s going to be until this man get out the game. Basketball is the only team sport where people boast one man above the whole sport, disrespect the legends who paved the way in order to uplift that one man, and focus on narratives over the game!
