Once the birds hatch it takes 2 weeks and they’ll fly off.. then you can remove the nest.. once they fly out they do not come back.

A bird built a nest on my front door on a wreath. I put a sign on the inside and outside to make sure no one would go out of the door and disturb the nest. It meant going a little out of our way to get in and out of the house but it was worth it to protect that little bird family.

Your best bet is wait until the baby birds are old enough to leave the nest on their own and then move the nest whenever it’s empty before they can come back, but they will probably build another nest in the same spot

Once the birds leave you can paint your porch ceiling sky blue it tricks the birds so they won’t make a nest up there anymore , it’s well known here in Texas

If you move the nest before the babies are older adults to leave on their own, then the mother will not know how to find the nest when she comes back and she won’t be able to find them to feed them

The mother bird won’t attack you. But, if you move their nest, they will likely abandon the babies and nest with your scent. Wait 4 weeks til the babies can fly. Move your chairs over and away. Can You Safely Relocate a Bird's Nest With Eggs? Once a nest has eggs, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act prohibits you from moving it. Safely discourage a bird from nesting before it is active, or you'll need to wait until it's no longer an active nest. Roughly speaking, small songbirds take between 10 days and 2 weeks to hatch and the same amount of time to fledge (two more weeks). Larger birds such as woodpeckers may take 3 weeks to a month to fledge. If you have to move a bird's nest, and it's relocated too far away, or in a place that doesn't resemble its former surroundings, the parent birds may not be able to find the nest. The best bet is a protected place nearby. If you move an active nest, it's unlikely the parent birds will continue to use it-they'll abandon the eggs or the babies and try to build another nest. We had a nest built on our back porch light about a month ago. Baby birds hatched and they flew away within a couple weeks. Now a NEW bird put her babies In that nest. Lol. They'll fly away soon and then you can take the nest down--i wouldn't move it until then.

When they fly away remove nest , I would put a bird house on a stake somewhere on side , hopefully they nest there next time , I've had 2 pet crows and many pigeons, I ❤birds
