How could a parent view a child as a dog? How could a boy be kept in a dog crate for this long and nobody know about it? Do you feel like Christina is criminally responsible for what she did to her brother? Let us know your thoughts. Idk how you 2 can continuously report on these children and not go insane yourselves...as someone who wanted 10 kids but was not able to have children after suffering a severe infection early in my adult life...luckily I was blessed enough to raise children that other young mothers were unable or unwilling to and for that I am so thankful. God bless you 2 for what you do as you bring light to what the true animals, human beings, are capable of doing with the free will they are givem smh. May the sister have a horrible life as she pays in other ways for what she wasn't made to pay for by a court as life can truly bring much more punishment than any jail cell ...may you 2 remain able to open our eyes ❤

Except for the outright abuse, the story of the pup in my "avatar" is close to Christian's. Neglected from the start, confined to a cage for almost 4 months, his rescuers didn't serve him any better by keeping him in a crate for 2 months before deciding he couldn't be "socialized" and planned to put him down (they didn't even name him in that time). A friend who trained Aussies heard about him and we took him right away. It took 3 months to bring him out of his fear but there wasn't a day in the next 13 years he didn't make us smile or be proud of him.

It depends. I’ve literally watched a video of CPS arriving at a mother’s door because her son went to school in “girl clothes” - a shirt with a unicorn on it. Anyone with a valid CPS case, sure, but with parental cooperation you could have a CPS case because someone has a vendetta against you and made something up (like an ex) or someone is crazy and doesn’t like the shirt your kid wore to school 😵‍💫

I inquired about home schooling my kids several years ago . I was told they check on your progress and the children twice a month and issue the curriculum once a month for their age and grade. Bottom line is i did not graduate high school so I was unable to school them. Fair enough. But they monitored the children in our area because a couple neighbors home schooled their children. Its odd to me when I hear there was little to no visits for many of these cases.

I seen plenty of results of animal abuse. Frightened dogs too scared to leave their kennels, biting dogs who snap at anything that moves, growlers, limpers, even dogs with missing patches of fur from untreated mange. It was my job to rehabilitate these poor things through socialization training. I make damn sure the potential new owners aren't scum and see if the dogs are open to rehoming through interaction. I don't have my kennels active anymore, shit they're probably overgrown at this point during my hikes across America, but what I do know is how happy those dogs are after being paired with a loving family.

Two daycare teachers and I reported a two year old child being abused. She was loaded with lice, had flea and tick bites everywhere, wearing clothes not fitting her (too small or too big and mom didn't care), hand print bruise on lower left calf, watch her grandfather grab her roughly by the arm and throw her into the bed of his truck, you could see her ribs and put fingers in between her ribs and your finger would sink in, and was living in a field in a tent with five siblings, mom, dad, aunt, and uncle because her grandparents wouldn't let any child in their house. OKDHS ignored it saying we wanted to punish a mom in poverty. Mom pulled her from our daycare because our director told us mandated reporters to never call on child abuse. Idk what happened to the girl. It has bothered me nearly ten years later.

@@brainst3wThey would have been most likely getting money from the state for taking in all those kids. That and any tax credits from the additional dependents. They were probably making a ton of cash off those kids staying with them . That is the reason that a lot of people who become foster parents do it. Then they put almost no money at all towards the care of the children, that they've taken in to live with them. It's such a messed up system, and it actually encourages greedy, abusive, lazy, and irresponsible, people, who are only in it for the cash, to take in large amounts of children, by giving them more money for each one, and not having enough oversight, or accountability. If they'd sent any of them away to go live elsewhere, they'd have lost some of their income. It's messed up the way that they handle these cases.

Oh, he'll no! I can't imagine the claustrophobia he must have felt, ontop of all the other feelings he must have been feeling at the time. Children, need guidance. They are not our property. We are thier guides. And if you don't guide them correctly, you need to be accountable for you crappy actions. Locking a kid up and throwing away the key is no way to deal with this. This should have been a conversation with or with out a therapist. Getting the kids help for the behavior before it got worse was the appropriate way to deal with the situation. Now, maybe Christian did do what POS said he did. Then you're right, you sit him down and explain how that was inappropriate, or get the child help if you think that it may be warranted. POS treated him like that because she felt safer doing that, which was a load of BS. It's not that easy, depending on the state. Right now, my friend has been fighting for 7 years to see her kids. I've been at everything with her. She has been jumping through every hoop the courts ordered. They don't enforce the visitation agreements. Their excuse? She failed to report the physical abuse that SHE suffered from the man THEY awarded custody to. She just found out that he has been SAing them and he has been reported so many times by so many people but CPS keeps closing them as "Retaliatory Accusations" doesn't help that the kids are so scared of talking to a case worker because they fear ending up in a worse situation. I've been there from start and plan to stay till it's finished. Her lawyer believes we may FINALLY be able to get them home because there is recent evidence that their case worker from 7yrs ago was accepting bribes. Screw CPS. She is terrified that her kids are going to end up as one of these stories.

One time, I don't remember where, I heard a detective say that well preserved bodies meant that the deceased wanted justice for what happened to them. As in keeping the bruises, the cuts, the wounds clear to see in a way for investigators to finally find justice and rest for them. He was still sporting the bruises, all the pain. It was impossible to lie when you have the body blatantly showing what happened. He wanted justice. And he got it.

@LokiMartin-i6s
@LokiMartin-i6s Ай бұрын
To me, that is negligence on the children's behalf and those workers should lose their jobs if not outright be arrested. An innocent little boy lost his life because of them. CPS workers need to start being held accountable, maybe then they will start actually protecting children's lives 🤔 It makes me sick that it seems like not a week goes by where this channel reports of a child's death and CPS is very obviously negligent in their duties and these sweet angels die because someone couldn't do their job properly. Maybe if they were afraid of losing their job or going to prison, maybe then these children would recieve the protection they deserve. I am tired of hearing about children dying when they could have lived if someone did their job properly. Why does CPS seem to be the only job where you can do even less than your title says you do and you receive no punishment? Our children deserve better than this. It disgusts me on a level I cannot articulate. Maybe it's because I have always wanted to be a parent and because of my chronic illness, I will never be able to know that dream, so it makes me extra empathetic towards children.

But, I suddenly noticed his big eyes looking with so much trust at me. I was suddenly made aware that kids trust and love their parents with whole hearts and fear nothing. They expect love. Rocking before bed. And the parent should fullfill this. those innocent trusting eyes spoke volumes. I saw the world of children and parents in them. And what it meant to be a parent to fulfill that role. Many years later I remember this and will never forget it. Even with my granddaughters I look deep into their innocent eyes and see the same things.

This case is a prime example for why every state should have laws requiring that if parents are going to “homeschool” their children, they should have to still be registered. There are a handful of states that allow parents to homeschool but do not allow children to disappear. Parents are required to show progress in the child’s development and the child has to be seen for at least one class. Most opt for some sort of physical education or religious education. But in states where there is no requirement for registration, this is what happens, children disappear and nobody is there to advocate for them.
@louderthanwordsInclusivity
@louderthanwordsInclusivity 4 ай бұрын
I’m assuming the quotes over homeschool was referring to the fact that people abusing their kids are only claiming homeschool as a cover but aren’t actual homeschoolers? The issue is that even in these states (I lived in one), the abusers doing this aren’t ADHERING to hoe school regulations as they aren’t actually homeschooling. It needs to be ALL kids. ALL kids should have to have at least buy early if not quarterly physicals done. Public educated kids have a higher rate of abuse and murder by their parents than homeschooled, and they have ALL the eyes on them, except the RIGHT ones. It’s going to be the only way these parents aren’t finding loopholes. Actual homeschoolers aren’t hiding their kids. I WILL say that states like Illinois should not allow people to just exist and do NOTHING for homeschooling. They require you follow specific subjects, but do nothing to document it-it’s a little much for me after coming from a place with a homeschool association registration law. I could have hid my kid in a box when we first moved here before anyone knew us and no one would know he existed! Obviously that’s not HOMESCHOOLERS doing that though-but we do need something in place to A-check in ALL kids regardless of education type semi regularly, do a physical and evaluate psychologically without a parent in the room momentarily, and B-close this loophole where abusers can pretend to be homeschoolers and get the protections homeschooler’s use to educate their children and give them thriving experiences and educations, but instead use those protections to conceal their abuse. Homeschoolers deserve protections, but that doesn’t mean there should be a gap so big that this can happen.

@@louderthanwordsInclusivity I am an actual homeschool parent from 1st grade till she graduated.............I am also in Indiana and I lived down the street from this horrific crime when it happened.............I am fully and 1000000000000% in support of our state and other states that don't already (like Tennessee) require for parents that wish to homeschool/unschool to REGISTER and a truant officer come to make sure they are being educated - there are two ways to homeschool one is the tract that you want your child to have a LEGAL high school diploma - like my daughter has while at the same time getting credit for LIFE skills as well..............and the other where mom wants to sit around on IG and Tik Tok talking about homeschooling and buying pretty supplies from michaels and then thats it and calling it unschooling and the child has to take the GED if they ever want to pursue a real career in a field that requires a college education (medical, law, teaching, etc) and the GED is hard as hell especially to those kids that spent 12 yrs playing craft time with mommy. So ya there is a right way that we homeschool our kids and if we have nothing to hide and no abuse then we should have ZERO issue registering our homes as homeschool homes and following the rules. In TN homeschool kids go to the Homeschool Co-Ops and they learn from all different types of tracts religious and non religious, state guided or free parent guided but they are accounted for and SAFE that way Christian lived in Gary Indiana (that part is where all the extreme low income white people on welfare - drug users - hookers etc tend to frequent and they don't like you saying they live in Gary and they like to call it "black oak" but its Gary Indiana......if that helps withthe context and level of trash these people are.....were......etc. Indiana needs to do right by Christian and make HIM the reason for stricter guidelines and hard investigations from CPS especially if the child is homeschooled......CPS should keep the cases open on these kids to have a reason to stay active and keep them safe...................BUT....................Indiana is a red state and we all know our people love to buck the government system here they whine and complain about ANY change. So ya as a homeschool parent our freedom should be curriculum NOT attendance or lack of being reported.

Public educated kids are more likely to be abused than home educated, AND Murdered by their parents than home educated. This, combined with the fact that those who pretend to homeschool to conceal abuse don’t adhere to homeschool regulations and laws as they aren’t ACTUALLY homeschoolers should be enough to make people realize what we need- ALL children should be required to do a minimum of bio yearly if not quarterly physicals and at least a yearly psych eval without a parent in the room. Public educated kids may HAVE to have eyes on them due to the nature of the schooling type, however that doesn’t mean they are the right eyes, and seeing as a higher percentage of them are being abused and murdered than even those claiming homeschooling, I would venture to say they are NOT the right eyes. Also, ALL kids being required to participate will prevent tANY kids from falling through the cracks, period.

What would you suggest? I homeschool and I wouldn't be opposed to cooperating in certain ways, and in certain circumstances. However, in order for "something to be done" you would have to then violate parental rights! Like, give a good, non invasive way to monitor the children? Didn't you know that the average homeschool family participates in regular, weekly activities where they see the same groups of other children and adults in a regular basis? You're wanting to punish ALL homeschool families because these sickos use it as a means to abuse their children? Tell me how THAT'S fair to those of us who have some NOTHING wrong. Nope, not fair at all. I shouldn't have to be inconvenienced because you and others think "something must be done regarding US homeschool laws". Talk about stereotyping a certain group of people? Wow! Educate yourself about homeschooling and homeschooling families before forming an opinion. Maybe parents who choose only school should be labeled lazy and not willing to take care of their OWN children? I bet you don't like that huh?

Based on a lot of cases that have been talked about I feel like we really need to change certain laws for cps like: if you refuse cps access so many times to your home to assess children safety then they should be allowed to get an officer and warrant automatically. Or if parents keep dodging cps after so many reports and with an open case then a warrant for detainment can be added tp the system so if they are pulled over or arrested the police can be notified and assist...and that should be shared nationally so they cant just run to the next state. The CPSs of the U.S. really need to be overhauled and changed, especially since new technology had made so many changes to our society.

My daughter is 7 and she weighs 66 pounds if that gives you a better idea of how small this boy was. How disgusting. That poor boy.

Thank GOD for jailhouse justice, they will not have a good time in prison.

Seriously, they will not receive jailhouse justice. They are protected by the prison system. They are not in general population because because the warden and jailers know what would happen to them if they were put in with all the other prisoners. So they have a section in prison that is just for any monster that hurts children in anyway. I wish they weren’t protected so all these children could get real justice.

Thank you, I totally agree, a dog is a member of your family and should be treated as such.

I have an 11 year old son that I love so dearly and would never let harm come to his way. What a terrible tragedy this little boy had to endure. What's sad is that he is old enough to be completely aware of this abuse and the emotional connection he has if any with the people that are suppose to protect him. His own sister turned on him and he told the doctor what is happening to him, and he got no help. Thank you for sharing his story.

You are a doctor..... your underweight, malnourished and bruised patient tells you he's been kept in a dog cage by his parents.... I don't know how you can keep your license after failing to do as little as call DCS

In California if you work with children in any manner that has required you to be fingerprinted before you can be hired then you are a mandated reporter that means you're not allowed to think about whether you should report or not if you even have an inkling even if you think you're wrong you are required by law to report that or you can be criminally processed for that child's injury and or death

I don't know how, as a neighbor, you see shit and when you call and the dcfs can't do anything you just don't handle shit yourself. If I ever seen kids being treated like this, those parents wouldn't have to worry about the police.

Nine children, all of them taken away. That sounds less like real life and more like the machinations of some bored person messing around in The Sims.

Thank you SO MUCH for covering this story. I live in the next town over, and I'll never forget this poor soul, Christian. There were so many opportunities to get him help, and he was failed by everyone. I really hope this video makes its way to the gentlemen who administer justice in the vicinity of these two pukes.

This is horrifying!! I don't know if any of the children who witnessed this torture will ever be normal. These people are so vile

So what you're saying is that witnessing something horrible precludes the possibility of ever being "normal" (whatever "normal" means, exactly) again? What about young WWII veterans who liberated concentration camps? Were none of them "normal" for the rest of their lives? Aside from being melodramatic, I think your statement underestimates how emotionally resilient we human beings can actually be.

Oh my word! This is horrific!!! I homeschooled my boys, but any parents that have had cps calls and any founded abuse claims, should not be allowed to homeschool. I am tired of abusive parents that use "homeschooling" as a means to commit foul atrocities without detection. How in the hell could CPS believe these parents would send the other children to public school but suddenly want to homeschool the child that cps calls have been made about?? Come on....give me a break! These monsters should never be allowed out of prison. And Christina...by the time she was high school age, should have done so much more for her brother than beating and abusing him along with the adults. She holds responsibility too. The fact that Riley had cps reports on him and they had 9 children or so already in a trailer, how in the actual hell did poor Christian end up there?? And that doctor? Is he still in practice?? How do you see such an emaciated child and do NOTHING...Christian told him even that he was being imprisoned. Just what in the actual hell??!! I am against hitting/striking a child EVER...but metal poles?? They used metal poles?? My God, that poor baby...what terrible pain he must have been in. Feet turning purple too? This makes me sick to my stomach...literally ill. Prison for life isn't enough for these devils.... they will get what they deserve for eternity once their miserable lives are over. They have jail cells... SO MUCH MORE room than what Christian had. I say, put them in tiny cramped dog crates...stuff those miserable lumps of flesh in small dog crates with nothing but depends on... and let's see how they do. Ughhh.... this is just so awful. Especially since report after report was made.... like seriously, WTH!!! Christina duct taping her brother, punching and choking him out... just what in the world?!?! And so many people in that home...not one kid ever said a word to their teachers??? Ughhh.... this poor poor child. So many families would have welcomed Christian into their homes and given him the love and respect and compassion that he deserved.
