The pusher deals heroin. The dealer sells weed. Big difference. Listen to their song snowblind friend. Kinda a theme. Heroin is bad shit. I grew up in this era so I know whereof I speak.

Pusher usually means heroin. Most other dealers would give you a break, more time, etc., but not the heroin dealer. For him you need cash, now. Heroin was the only addicting drug commonly available at the time. As H was addictive, he only had to keep you going for a while and then you'd be hooked. The same person who carried the H would also often come into other drugs common to the time and offer those, too.

The Pusher during this time period is a C or H dealer. This song is featured during a drug deal at the beginning of Easy Rider (1969).

A pusher .. pushes drugs of many kinds. They sell good weed, but here try a line of coke. Oh no on me .. go ahead a bum won't hurt. So they draw you in with a less expensive drug then try to switch you up to a harder more expensive drug. A Dealer sells drugs .. but much quieter. Usually only one and they they don't push.
