Stepper motor newbie

Thanks Alan. Stepper motors are black art 🤔 I'm not wanting to control steps, as I just need high torque, low speed and direction control to drive the power feed shaft on my lathe, making it independent of the gearbox. Think of parting off when the in-feed of the parting tool needs to be constant but lathe spindle speed needs to be increased as the tool approaches the centre, or vice verse I've tried multiple small geared DC motors but they are unable to overcome the slight binding somewhere in the Apron gearing. This little motor will fit the bill with luck. I shall of course do a video when done or advise if unsuccessful.
