This is a short demonstration about use of:
Arduino Uno Microcontroller (~20 euros)
Polulu Allegro A4988 Stepper motor driver (~10 euros)
Stepper motor, 200 steps, 300mA (max 20 euros)
DIY Linear Actuator (Movetec Aluminum profile, POM-slider, M6 screw, costs ~20 euros)
Calculated accuracy is about 0.005mm/step, max speed ~6mm/s, force ~100N

Thank you for responding so quickly. You cannot describe how happy I am to have such an expert helping me. I never would have thought to look at other people's code! Such a revolutionary notion! Your exceptional thinking obviously goes unappreciated. However, I have only asked you for the code; not for the pointless lecture. Please see the intended use of Arduino and take a lesson in the shared nature of the platform!

Hi, almost everything is visible there while compiling the code. Needed thing is to make function XMove() where need to pass parameters (direction, speed and amount of steps). Also the feeding/controlling stepper motor is easy. Just put the direction pin HIGH or LOW depending the needed rotation direction and the put the step pin HIGH and LOW to create a step. Of course there need to be delay between step pin HIGH and LOW commands, because it's the way to control stepping/rotation speed.

But it's the X_Move function that I can't find anywhere...

Hi, I'm wondering if you have the code for running the stepper motor with the Polulu stepper motor driver? I'm having trouble finding sample code that I can learn from. Please let me know!

You didn't read what I wrote, you need to make the XMove()-function... :) Of course I can post you the code, but first you should play much more with examples in Arduino IDE to understand what you are doing. It's so basic level thing what you are asking that it's almost lazy of you to ask ready code insted of learn by yourself. And if I help you now, you are back within 5 minutes to ask more help. Only reasonable way to help you is to ask you to play with examples and read codes until it opens.

Once again, why you don't read what I'm writing? There is just no sense to show you how to run, because you need to learn walk first. Also I'm wondering why you are asking help such kind of pro, but do not listen? Anyway, I do promise you to get the code, if you tell me needed actions to connect A4988 to Arduino controller. Then I know that I don't waste my time with the lazy loser.
