Words can't describe listening to this song on vinyl. Those who were there remember. Took you to the heights.

One of Steve Millers all time best and somewhat more obscure tunes from a truly great era. I remember when this album debuted---seems like only yesterday, damn it was 1/2 a lifetime ago! Great times and music it was! This song reminds me of my last 25 yr. marriage!! Thanks for posting this old one!

I wouldn’t mind another song with them - they are both in great shape, even Paul’s voice sounds better now than it has.

Steppin' Stone - Steve Miller Band [San Francisco, California] - 1968 - "AMG Pick. ...is a powerful, churning blues-rocker...this is a great example of where San Francisco blues-based rock & roll was at during this late-1967 period." - Children Of The Future (Capitol)-1989. NOTE: I recognized the visualizer as being in iTunes. Boz Scaggs written and sung song.

Another cool tune from this great album! Yeah Steve's band was not one of slouches! Besides Boz Skaggs (who also did vocals on "Baby's Calling Me Home"), at that same time, he had Ben Sidran on keys, who has a happening solo career doing jazz keys & vocals, as well as still playing & producing Steve at times...

@cougar1233 Hmm, you must be referring to the crap '80s Fleetwood Mac, after the two chicks messed up the band. The ORIGINAL Fleetwood Mac of the 1960s was one of the best blues bands ever, with Peter Green as lead guitarist. Have you ever heard of "Black Magic Woman"? Santana covered it, he didn't write it. I'm a huge Santana fan, but frankly, the Fleetwood Mac original is even better.
