Great stuff. I can relate so much when you talked about how different you are from your sponsor. My first sponsor was a female biker, very tall - she was over 6 feet (I am 5'1), social butterfly, and works an excellent program. We couldn't have been more different, but she showed me how to work a solid program and walked me through the steps. I work in recovery now and I am going to play this in one of my groups. Real and honest share. Thanks for this!

I remember feeling that exact same way when I was in handcuffs on the floor of my kitchen. And when they took me to jail the relief I felt for being rescued from myself. I relapserelapsed the day before my 5 year clean but in reality that relapse started one year prior. Thank you for sharing your story.

Sean E thank you. I am 1 2 months 2 days clean. And I got one on my old Sponsor's back he told me I have to tell my last sponsor I am not feeling good about u the Sponsee sponsor relationship. And not to just walk away from that. That is our old Addict behavior. Thank you

15 yrs clean and still powerless over alcohol and drugs. I can not control my drinking and drug use. I can not control and predict the outcome. That is what step one means to me.
