KMnO4 is oxidizing agent and Mohr salt / oxalic acid is reducing agent And otr qsns based on the salt you get you need to know all the tests which are to be done while testing that salt..like group number of basic radical ...the group reagent of that group... confirmatory test for acid radical...all that

Aliphatic compounds are non benzanoid compounds and saturated compounds by all means compounds containing single bonds.it does not give sooty flame because of no double bonds. But aromatic and unsaturated compounds are having double bonds gives Sooty flame More heat is necessary for breaking of bonds. At the same time saturated compounds not decolorize KMnO4,Br2/H2O UNSATURATED compounds can decolorize the above solutions

2:50 since the solution in Bayers test is pink , this means the compound is unsaturated (contains double bond and triple bond ). if the solution is colourless then the compound is saturated.
