Soundcore sound better because the JBL are playing in dual mono mode. The Auracast button does not put them in stereo mode. I have two clip 5 and it's the same problem. I called JBL today and they confirmed that the only way to get it into stereo mode is going through the app every single time you turn them on. Very poor design.

I think the soundcore sounds better, punchy and it has a good bass too. Got one for a very low price. I will buy another one to make it stereo.

I fell for this trick buying the Tribit Stormbox micro 2. Yes its loud, but its muddled too. Jbl Go 3 is much more clear and detailed. I NEVER listen to my speakers at 100%. Funny how something sounds better on KZbin. Go to the store, listen and judge for yourself. One thing for sure is, a JBL will never disappoint you.

Sony XB-100s are sonically better, with lower bass representation than either of these. Unfortunately, the cylindrical form factor is less convenient when carrying two. Also, the upward firing orientation means poorer stereo imaging, which is one of the main goals of using speakers in TWS.
