I stopped at Flagstaff on this day from Chicago just to wave at the camera. Didn’t make the highlight reel but it was life-changing anyway. Took a picture of the VR sign. Really cool experience!!!

Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in multiple locations, especially the CSXT9969, Geometry Train, in Fairport, New York, Loram, railgrinder, in Waupaca, Wisconsin, and so much more, I like them, they're awesome, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much and have a nice day.

I like the cupola-less caboose and the white engine. I was wondering if the Loram train was spraying for weeds but my questions was answered by another comment. And the engineer working the horn for those young railfans. I'm sure they were thrilled.

Loved the sparrow in Ashland--"I'm ready for my close-up!"--and the Argentina-Alaska bus (cute doggo). Nice to see 4822 again, Amtrak in Skykomish was very pretty, and the snipe was really cool--hard to tell if it was Wilson's in that light, but the shape was right. Always neat to watch LORAM at work and see a MOW train. Thanks for another great one!

The Freight thru Ashland with the Caboose was moving at a fair pace. CSX 4702 looked very nice, with an Engineer putting-on a good Horn-show for the Railfans. Great to see a Bay-window Cab (Shoving Platform) at Covington and in such nice clean condition. Most of all, the Youngster at Tucson reminded me of how my Dad described my own reaction at that age - whenever I saw or was near a Diesel Locomotive.

It was fun to watch that youngster as it happened. He was truly excited.

@@jamesmckenzie3532 Cheers. That is just what I would do - go running onto the Platform with my Dad frantically calling me to stop. In the UK though, there would only be one Loco - we never get Lash-ups like in the States, you lucky Railfans.

It is a bus from Argentina, which runs from Ushuaia to Alaska. But I know them from Argentina. You can find them on KZbin. because of the inscriptions on its side. They are now passing through there but their destination is Alaska.

That old Mack bus is a classic. It's owned by a string instrument maker who crafts some very fine violins and guitars. He has several social media pages if you're curious.

The new CSX C&EI heritage unit is on the bowline as this is posted. I just saw it over an hour ago. So it'll likely be on the grab bag soon. Also, a PanAm boxcar with a Department of Defense caboose, a weed sprayer train, and the UP passenger cars returning to Omaha after their run with Big Boy 4014 in the first two minutes of this video makes a great start to this grab bag.

13:01 as someone who has lurked on the Skykomish cam for a couple years, it was kinda neat to see the full #7/#27 consist roll by the cam, and again later that evening as #8/#28.
@Surfliner4864 ай бұрын
Why was the full consist going through Skykomish? Isn’t the builder through skykomish usually only a few cars not 11
@phrayzee4 ай бұрын
@@Surfliner486 not sure exactly. The Amtrak account on X/Twitter said that the trains were affected by “freight interference” and were delayed for several hours. Normally they’d split the train at Spokane and continue on their separate ways to Seattle and Portland as #7 and #27, respectively.
