dear mary hansen, this song is located in a hidden and bright clearing, safe inside the forest of my heart's sweetest and deepest and saddest memories of who i was and shall remain. love, patrick

I got home from the pub on a Saturday night in the 90's...and this moment on BBC 2 changed my life. I fell in love a little, with Laetitia...but that was because I fell in love, deeply, with the music that I was hearing.

So beautiful. Hansen's backing vocal lines are simply incredible.

I like it too, thanks for sharing. I especially like the intro and music in-between the singing! The lyrics are interesting too- I found them here: www.lyricsdepot.com/stereolab/les-yper-sound.html

HEY EVERYBODY! KZbin doesn't have a replacement feature for swapping out the original uploads and keeping all the views and comments and fun stuff. SO I'M UPLOADING THEM AGAIN! In the coming weeks there'll be brand spankin' new and higher quality encodes of all your favorite videos! When you see a new upload of an old favorite (for instance you can find THIS one HERE Stereolab -LesYper Sound (Live on Jools Holland) [NEW] ) please be sure to like it, comment on it, and share it so that it gains traction in search rankings and I can eventually replace the old versions altogether. Thank you all so very much for all the positive feedback and thanks for watching!

The groop on fire! I think along with French Disko on The Word, this was one of only 2 appearances on UK TV. It was enough to switch me on to them and save my teenage self from a world of Britpop. One of the truly great bands of the last 30 years, no question.

If there is anything to show anyone only once about Stereolab, it is this! This is a fantastic song, done brilliantly live. This really shows what magic they were capable of. Even the Modular Moog bloops are coherent and in time.

Can't understand a word she's singing. What's the point of lyrics if you can't understand what they are.. Are they supposed to be mere sonic decoration? If so, why not just sing any old phrasing?

Spillage66 what do you mean? It's pretty the same as the studio recording and to my ears it sounds flawless.. I would say the only thing that sounds a bit off is the Moog synth when it's out of time but that's about it.
