Yes, it is Stereolab / Nurse With Wound! Track is called "Simple Headphone Mind" from an EP b/w "Trippin' With The Birds". Great Krautrock/Spacemusic... Thank you!

I recall this hit the KRAUTROCK SCENE perfectly, so it was just enough under the pop radar, but appreciated by retro music enthusiasts.

I remember getting this record when it came out at a tiny little obscure vinyl shop in Berkeley, CA. The foil packaging was as impressive as the musick within! Being more of a NWW fan, along w/all those other 'esoterick/occulture-like' artists it was nice to hear what I consider to be Stereolab at their finest. I believe this was right before the vocalist died? Rest In PeacEternaL. LovEternaL, Stacy

This song was also released on The Wire 20 1982 - 2002: Audio Issue 3 cd set, a really cool set of experimental music.

Usually I don't like ambient stuff of NWW, but this different style changes radically my judgement.

If I had to pick one tune to listen to for eternity, it'd be this one. My KZbin name gives it away I guess.

If you don't like the jumps and crackles, you could contact Soleil-Moon Records and find a copy for like $75, if, as rare as most of this music is, you can find it at all, then upload another, more perfect version...
