Some cuts in this video already get looped that it would not make much difference if they went with them all the way, but then again Part 2 has different lyrics... This video is neat, but a performance video would still probably be the most suitable, however they seemingly never tried to perform all the parts in any concert (including the ”out of phase” studio trickery), correct me if I am wrong.

I went to their first show in Dallas after Mary died. It was so sad. Like they were great, but rather than have someone sing her harmonies, they had someone playing a horn. Like they knew there needed to be something there but couldn't bring themselves to have someone "replace" her. I cried during half the show.

@dansanq
@dansanq 2 жыл бұрын
@@Fopenplop Yes! I see it as the triumph of the will. Despite the darkness that our reality has sunken into ("Life on Earth is a bloody hazardous affair") one must believe in its own ability to create, one must seek challenge and stimulation to make stuff because it's the most effective way we can communicate our struggle to our peers, through honest expression. It truly is a song of hope and what's great is that early Stereolab has a lot of songs like this: uplifting yet thoughtful, blunt yet romantic, and most importantly, hopeful.

@@sidDkid87 Cool. They're special bands. Other things that must be heard are Joe Meek - I hear a New World (1st ever concept album). Silver Apples invented dance music in late 60's. Baby's On Fire by Brian Eno has the greatest ever guitar solo, played by Robert Fripp. The Pop Group's most famous songs must be heard. Most recent 'best band' I discovered is Killing Joke. They invented Grunge in 1980 with the song S036 from their 1st album. They are so good. Discovered them 6 months ago. Came back to hear them about a month ago, and discover the guitarist just died. That sucks. They were so good. Never see them play now. I was too late.. Art Bears are good. Winter Songs is a great album..
