When you can sing the whole song that's in another language that you don't even understand.... Now thst's good music.

I looked at the sun through filters The heat had provoked lots of colors I took off high like a feather Blown to the ground on my shoulder You fell, are you okay? Do you need a hand? I'm okay, let me go Go away, I'm alright Leave me here Go back home I'm okay, you just go I could hear two sounds in the air The leaving steps of a guilty sister The other sound was the water I leaned and looked into her river Thanks for the favor The world little sister I'm okay, I feel good I can breathe, fill my soul I'm okay, feeling good Why do I swim in blood? I looked at the sun through filters The heat had provoked lots of colors Took off high like a feather Blown to the ground on my shoulder Thanks for the favor The world little sister I'm okay, I feel good I can breathe, fill my soul I'm okay, feeling good Why do I swim in blood? I'm okay, I feel good I can breathe, fill my soul I'm okay, feeling good Why do I swim in blood? La, la, la La, la, la La, la, la

I saw them live without knowing anything about them. Never in my life have I been touched by a musical experience like that. They made me melancholic, happy, lonely and in love at the same time. Mary surely is in heaven for her art.

Had the pleasure to see them in Phoenix, at a fabulous venue near the AZ State Uni. Was an unforgettable night of high culture. They were HOT ! The played almost continuously ! They played through many songs and sections of heavy, heavy, Synth as good as " Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" by Pink Floyd ... the good ol days for sure.... danced for over 2 hrs without a break ! The whole place went wild . After, I was out back to chill and the whole band came out except for "HER" and we had a great chat. Magical ! There is no such heavy music on any of their releases ! None , ! I know they loved it , and played it for hours, nothing , nothing ,nothing on any LP that comes close to what the did live, I wonder how much the "establishment " record companies etc, stomped on them, L. Sadler was a intense presence, it was surreal and special. Wish they had recorded it and done a live release !! CD Stereolab LIVE , wonder if that doesn't exist somewhere, somewhere, somewhere........ The real stereolab was never released, and sadly they didn't become well known like Pink Flyod another band I started following before they were well known....... Theodore UniTown.US

Great band and amazing sound. Late stage empire sort of vibe. Music for childless urban bohemian women to listen to before the collapse.

In 98 a few of the bandmates came into Belgo in NYC and sat at the long wooden table right next to me and my friends. One of them had a baby I believe at that time. We were huge fans, but we let them have their peace without us being intrusive on their time. But literally we sat right next to them for the whole time we were there!

Awesome. I saw both Machine Girl and Stereolab live in the last year. Have you ever listened to Container? His latest album Yacker is like heavy garage rock sculpted out of electronic noise samples. I'm obsessed.
