Stereonet Projection | How to Draw a Stereonet

This file demonstrates how to draw a #stereonet for the Module Ground and Highway Engineering at the University of the West of Scotland. In this video the orientation of the planes is reported as "Dip Direction" (DD) and "Dip Amount" (DA). Most vidoes you will find on the Internet show how to draw the stereonet with the assumption that the orientation of the planes has been reported as Strike and Dip.

Hi, shouldnt u rotate the 45 mark to the north to draw the great circle for the dip of 50?

that's the method for strike. on this video he uses dip direction instead of strike.
