My favorite guitarist in contemporary jazz, hands down. First heard about him on the now defunct CD 101.9 smooth jazz station in the NY/NJ tri state area. 30 years later and still a fan. Had the pleasure of seeing him live along with George Benson. What a show!

@@marshallcrocker8239 he plays them amazingly obv but if you listen to Norman's Better Days Ahead for ex, compared to George's "Let Go" (full octaves tune) theyre really similar. wes and george come really close but imo i feel Norm is a slightly ahead in speed and cleanliness. its like his hand positioning is built for octaves and locks in perfectly.

This gentleman excites the hell out of me when he plays!!! True story I love him so much I purchased tickets in March for a concert in July a few years ago @ the Playhouse Sq in Cleveland Ohio, My hubby & I was standing outside the show because it was an outside concert as well that day and did not realize my absolute Fav was in there jamming! My husband went to work out the next morning so we could go see Norman Brown that night and a buddy of his told him that was last night. I been upset every since considering he haven't been to Cleveland since and I far as I know that was the 1st time. Until next time Norman I will always be your biggest fan!!!!

@josephblow59462 жыл бұрын
Out of the songs I was familiar with, Take me There was clearly faster. But yeah, playing it at a faster tempo usually makes it sound rushed. Benson does the same thing on a few tunes, but even worse
