ive accepted the fact that no one likes my hair. especially black people for some reason. they always ask when im gonna "do my hair" or when im gonna get a "weave". its very discouraging and depressing especially since i have what most considered the worst type of hair 4c. s but you know what i love it and thats all that matters.plus i think people only think this way because its not that long yet. i think people just like long hair doesnt matter the texture.

Speechless.....because your hair is just too gorgeous my dear. It isnt true that NO ONE like ur hair. Ud be surprised at how many people may like it. But be encouraged. If u wear your natural hair confidently in the midst of people not doing that, u could inspire them to discover how awesome their natural hair is. Ive been wearing my hair natural for a while an the more i did, i noticed the girls/ women from my church began doing the same thing. Try not to fall into the trap of covering ur natural hair because its "easier to deal with" (which it isn't from experience) or because "ull be accepted more". (Which isnt a good reason). People r incredibly brainwashed and its important to try and help them instead of giving in to their ignorance

Wow. I don't think he realized he was kinda being offensive to the girl @ 3:14 with the "white black girl look". He said it looked like the girl just woke up and did nothing to her hair. When in actuality she probably spent a good 40 min to an hour probably just twisting it or putting it in bantu knots just to have a curl pattern. This is why many black girls with kinky hair do not go Natural. Because they spend hours on their hair for someone to tell them it looks like nothing. I know he wasn't being rude. But just saying, it kinda hurts hearing comments like that.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that too. Also, I think he's just offensive in a lot of cases. I watched some of his other videos and I think that he should watch what he says a little more being the type of show that it is. Like you never know what's going to be triggering for some people or what some people just find outright unacceptable to say to them.

So glad black women are going natural! Not only are we educating ourselves, but we are educating black men (we have the same hair), black children, some of our elders whose willing to change their view on our hair, and other races. We were brainwashed and miseducated about our hair and then we held on to it and miseducated other races about our hair when they ask us, telling them our hair is nappy *smh*

This brings me back to when I was in middle and high school and every black girl would straighten or perm their hair. But I would be the oddball with my nappy natural hair. Everyone would say, "Omg, straighten your hair!" or "Why don't put weave in your hair, or perm it?!" But I never did.....because my mom wanted my hair to grow.Now my hair is past my shoulders (but still natural) and a few days ago I just passed by a former classmate from my high school at the store...and her hair didn't even go past her neck..so sad and she was one of them who would say "Perm your hair!"

As a white female, I always thought it was sad some black girls I see feel like they have to wear weaves, because some of the Afros and dreads I see are so beautiful and complement these girls much more than mimicking white hair-styles. Either way it is hair and shouldn't matter that much but we have the choice to wear it however we want! Do what makes you feel beautiful ladies, for yourself, not others!
@OliCampify

Yh because straight hair is exclusive to white people, like there aren't black people with natural straight hair that black girls are/can 'mimic' instead. White people think way too highly of themselves and know very little of black people or other races for a matter a fact. Always thinking people with afros and kinky hair textures want their thin stringy, pest ridden hair. Bye.

Our world is pretty fucked up in some sense specially with us as blacks and the hair complex which is some Willie Lynch syndrome shit. As a African American male with hair to the shoulders, I get the same feeling when a female says "Long hair don't care" or "Nice and Long" hair.. Like you can have long hair be it Afros, Braids or even Dreads like lil wayne or Pusha T being natural kinky coiled/earth tone (Considered Nappy to the world) but it isn't considered "Nice" unless it's permed straight or looks curly in some sense. Almost as if your hair looks like Lloyd's or oldschool Omarion's is when it seems acknowledged as "nice and long" unless they're Naturalists or something. It's sad really because it's like you're told to reach a criteria you can never fill in Reality that's why I feel for my natural sisters going through that shit.

I find it sad that as black people we cannot feel comfortable in our skin or wearing our hair naturally. Don't misunderstand me I feel its your choice to wear your hair the way you want whether its relaxed or natural. It really depressing to hear people refer to our hair as slavery hair. Well I for one as an Afro Caribbean woman am proud to have slavery hair because if there is anyone who deserves to be celebrated is the black woman who watched their men be beaten. Who were raped repeatedly to produce children and still through it all was beaten themselves and force to work. Power to the black woman and power to slave hair.

I don’t think the people in the video meant that natural African hair is “slavery hair” at all, I think they meant that the whole idea of “good hair” being long and straight like European/ Caucasian and Asian hair instead of any races healthy hair and the whole self-hate that goes along with people in the black community saying for example that they want to only date light skinned men because they want light skinned babies with straight non-kinky hair (I’ve heard this ignorance before, more than once, and it makes me sad).

Everybody always thinks other people have it better, but most types of hair have a downside, Asians have amazingly smooth hair, and they think it's to flat, African people think their hair is too curly even though it's beautiful, and my hair, well, lets not talk about my hair, it has a will of it's own... :P

I enjoyed watching this one. I've been natural all my life but I am now finding out how to use natural products & naturally nurture my hair. I love the natural hair movement ever since it started. More women are being educated & accepting their natural texture of hair & being beautiful with it. I love it.

I'm not sure if it was just me or was anybody else getting mad at the guy in the white shirt. That 70s comment was too far. I mean ugly really just because they have Afros? I think hair is an accessory, it adds to your original beauty.
