I pulled the brake thing out, tapped the hole and put in a barb for the vent, and went with a different block for the brakes

Hey we volunteered at Bantam together. I'm preparing for my Chrysler 10.5 rear double triangular 4 link, and Chrysler 9.5 radius arm suspension front on my 93 YJ. Thank you for the insight on weldable primer being crap. I appreciate the video. See you at the fall bash I'll still be in my 08 JKU Soundwave.

Thanks for checking in. The Steel-it is expensive, but works great. That other stuff wasn't so great.

Sometimes I wish I went with super dutys instead of the 78 f250 axles but it is what it is haha

I did the same axle build last November for my wide open design TJ chassis build. 2005 superduty axles with artec full width trusses front and rear. Got their full hydro mount and weld on full hydro high steer arms too. Spool in the front with chromoly shafts and ox locker in rear. Should be ready to take it on the trails in about 5 months!

Hopefully this project is on the same timeline. 😁

Use steel-it paint as weld through primer it infused with stainless steel the real weld through primer is zinc or galvanized paint and your top coat paint wont stick long we used it for years at the welding shop and it sucked paint just peels off then we started using steel-it and we completely switched and paint sticks to it fine for top coating and if not top coated the steel-it still lasts years even with are salty winter roads in pa.. thanks for sharing

Yep.... That is exactly what we used to paint the axles. It is good stuff for sure

what is the purpose of such a reinforcement of the axis? And do you want to increase the carrying capacity?
@DaddyJeepGarage Жыл бұрын
It certainly adds strength to the axle. This has nothing to do with carrying capacity though. This will be used off road and it will prevent it from getting bent or the housing broken. I have seen both happen off road. It also gives you a place to mount the upper links.
