Thank you for requesting this song, Andrew Castillo! Regarding the meaning of this song, I am not sure about the back story. Of course, I did research and analyzed the lyrics, but it seems even Japanese fans are clueless about the meaning. However, one Japanese fan did say Caes is similar to the Japanese word ‘かえす’(Kaesu), which means “to return someone/something back”. So, taking that into account, I can theorize the song is about the narrator wanting to leave something in the past, but struggling due to hardships. I hope you enjoy my translation (ᵔ◡ᵔ) If you are curious the sentence in the bg picture is ‘何がめでたいんですか？’ which means “What is there to celebrate?” or “What are (you/we) celebrating?”

Update: Österreich is releasing a new single on the 10th of June (Tomorrow) called Family's End (Family's Conclusion) and a new mini album named (corpse) set to release on the 24th of June along side the full release of this song (Caes) I'm so very excited and wanted to share with you all!!!!
