What camera do you use? Wanted to do something similar for my high schools games.

Super simple. Just a video recorder. Canon Vixia HF R800. Its an old camera by today's standards but its gotten the job done for me for this season. Next season I'll buy a new one. Most journalists or media people will get a DSLR (because most people just take pictures) but I prefer a video camera that I can conveniently hold.. Main things to look for is that it has zoom higher than say 40x or 50x and that you can record in 60fps. The camera in this video you see has an 80x zoom.

@@JimTrussell thank you so much. I played quarterback a few years back at Beaver Local and I’ve been making video tributes for the banquets. I use wtov9 footage clear back from 1999. The quality is obviously a lot better than just filming from a Hudl camera. But if I had my own, I could use it for whatever, similar to this video.

@@crossbonez1028 I've been doing what I've been doing since 2012, my senior year, and I just now this year got the video recorder in which I'm telling you about. That's the way to go for sure but just letting you know that all of my previous videos before this year that have thousands and thousands of views were all recorded with a fairly cheap Sony digital camera. And the best part is it's been broke for 3 years and it can't take pictures LOL if there is a market for your high school on KZbin Anything is Possible. I'm lucky because McKinley and Massillon fans eat up content. I've definitely heard of Beaver Local. I know it's a football school so if no one's beating you to it, you probably have a gold mine

@@crossbonez1028 my competition's thousands of dollars of equipment still doesn't do better than me stat wise so I'm living proof you don't need the fanciest thing around. A video camera priced between 175ish and 250 should be good, just look for 60 frames per second, a good zoom, and possibly an extra battery 😎

Why do you assume they won't schedule you? It might be the other way around. If Massillon Beats steubenville, there's probably no computer point value to that because Steubenville is such a small school now. D4 I think? Also, the last time Massillon played Steubenville they lost lol so I think its a mutual thing.

The last Time Steubenville and Massillon played, Steubenville won 48-21, and it was 35-7 at halftime. Also Steubenville won another state championship since then. So the question might be why won’t Massillon schedule Steubenville?
