Ex0rz pioneer cdj's don't have effects... having 7 cdjs is utterly pointless... not even the best of dj's who scratch and beat juggle use more than 3 (2 for blending one for scratching usually). the ability to beat match isnt difficult at all.. i just don't understand the point.. he's just doing this bs to impress people who don't know how to dj.. or what its about. and rory... mixing electronic music (house and trance really) are not about doing small scratching for incoming as done in other genre's such as hip hop or drum n bass. to the average festival goer (which is who goes to see these people a majority of the time) just don't care about those things... lots of people enjoy just incredibly smooth transitions without the need of using the first kick of the next song.

Justin Johnson No. But you can use effects from mp3's and burn effect cd's. Im not talking of stuff like delay, echo etc. But something like soundeffects. You know? They are also called effects :D A bit confusing now that i read my comment but yeah. (I own a pair of CDJ-850 my self).

That is true, esp with artists such as bassnectar. But it is a big contributing factor because from a DJ's perspective you want dubstep songs to mix well with other dubstep songs. But the experimental factor is always encouraged. After all thats how EDM came to be, pure experimentation.

what about when you press the play button a little too late or early and you get that click from the kicks being just a little out of time like milliseconds?How does he fix that?ive seen him live several times and ive never heard one of those clicks throughout his set. his set was perfect,now if your a dj think to yourself, have you ever been able to hit the play button perfect every time without sync.NO you constantly have to make small corrections and you make those corrections over HEADPHONES

You clearly do not understand how Sync works. If all of his tracks are 128 BPM (or w/e BPM they are), then Sync will do nothing, plus there's 7 decks there (can only do it with 4 and not these model types). If you meant Quantize, no, the CDJs don't quantize the tracks for you.

one mixer is going into the other one, thats why theres 7 decks and not 8, just because a deck is engaged on one mixer(the red decks) doesn't mean its playing through the speakers. He did this right after that other video came out, the one proving hes a fake, i dont buy this act for a second. why would you ever need 7 decks to put on a good show. Keeping 4 decks in time and knowing which deck to correct if it were to go out of time slightly, is extremely hard let alone 7 decks.

I swear I only ever see EDM djs use pioneer equipment. I've never seen an edm dj using an allen & heath, E&S or Rane mixer or any sort of rotary mixer, and i never see them playing vinyl. Not to shit on their ability coz I know they can all dj and dj very well but how come they never use the better sounding equipment? Alot of the Dj's i see now bring their own E&S mixer and always opt out of pioneer

In interviews they are fine but when you watch old videos of them... like in take one, You probably get what I mean. True dj? Not sure what to call this besides noise. I think this type of noise came about due to the auditory experience with ecstasy. A TRUE DJ (disk jockey not disc jockey) was an MC. (MASTER OF CEREMONIES.) he or she spun vinyl with contemporary hit songs of the day and used a microphone to keep the energy up so people could dance. Mixing fast with slow. Not mixing two songs together into one. They were artists of getting love started at parties. This stuff here is just an auditory acid trip. The art of DJ is lost.

dance music is not hard to beatmatch at all. it's usually all around the same BPM and if it's not, then it's one or two off.. not to mention CDJ 2000's tell you the BPM anyhow. you just need to have an ear for doing this. that's all. nothing special.

You know, each day, I listen to sets, Dnb, Dub, House, Deep, Progressive, Trance, Acid, Techno, everything. Famous DJ's, less famous Dj's, and Steve angello has the same Dj-style like Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso.. They use really mature tracks in their sets, almost not commercial.. But everyone enjoys, even tough 90% of the the crowd doesn't know the music! Steve Angello was one of the first DJ's a start listening to 8 years ago, and now, I know that he's a wonderful DJ, with a unique style and personality!
