As a matter of fact in my opinion Deicide is the hardest can't say Benton didn't do the things he did. Legion is still one of the most technically difficult death metal masterpieces they finished in twenty minutes...being rushed they had to slow the recording down..

He's an excellent drummer! U guys have to know the difference between studio and live.. Almost no ones plays 100% live. When u record in the studio they actually smooth it out and put the notes where they need to be. Well it's an option. Now they use triggers for live performance which is used for a consistant tone.. Makes a huge difference.

I see where you are coming from but my philosophy is to learn to play all styles. I'm not really even into extreme metal unless there are breakdowns and grooves. Groove metal is my favorite, but the ability to play the drum parts to bands like Deicide, Nile, Hate Eternal, etc. is just insane. Believe me, I am a huge Weckl, Colaiuta, Chambers, Rich, Roach, Cobham, Gadd, etc. fan. I love most styles, and anyone who plays something that I know is difficult earns my respect.

He is so fluent with his rhythm and he can blast for really long too. Homage for Satan for instance..he frigin rips on that live and never loses tempo. He is solid. Also this video is a straight up cam, no line in, pre mixed shit and it still sounds clear and good.
