This video is brilliant. I'm a huge fan of the six million dollar man. Loved it in the 70s. Still love it. I have all 5 seasons on dvd and the bionic woman on dvd. Watched them both in the 70s. Loved them. Had a Steve Austin Six Million Dollar man doll which I played for hours with.

I still love the look and effects. It's amazing how easy it was to use slo-mo to make us buy into him moving fast! I have to wonder how it would have been if they'd had today's computers and cgi back then, and made his running look something like The Flash? Or if they'd simply sped up the film every time, as we did see now and then when he was running flat out or on the treadmill? The music and sound effects were what really made it special, though. It was one of the few shows where I could still tell what was happening in the action scenes even if I had to pop to the kitchen or bathroom. Which, believe you me, I only did at bionic speed! 😁 And they never got old, no matter how often they were parodied! 😊

dum monkey, Duh!! Those were the parts that were crushed or severed in his crash. The bionic eye and hearing were replaced due to irrepairable damage. I'm sure there were other internal injuries, but the bionics saved his life. In turn, he became the osi's special mission's agent to infiltrate, using his new built in high tech abilities. They knew what they were doing, or else Colonel Austin wouldn't have been able to complete his missions.
