I think Mr. Bannon makes a valid point about AOC. She is one of the current faces of the Democratic party for now, if not the face of a completely new party of the future.

Margaret Hoover is a terrible interviewer. If she agrees with you, she’s calm. If she disagrees with you, she badgers the hell out of you. Luckily Brannon is forceful enough to get his points through, as she scoffs at each one. Sad she is on same show as as William F Buckley.

I actually think she's pretty effective, not perfect. It's called "Firing Line" though. She's supposed to be firing-and she does. What she does the most consistently is she tries to make him own his own statements and sometimes, she scores.

He tried to steamroll her and she wouldn't let him. Why are so many comments saying her performance was negative? There were points he was saying bullshit and wouldn't let her speak. You cannot fire hose people with lies and expect for them to take it.

That's the best part of this. I wish I had watched this before.Until about 5 minutes ago, I had somewhat respect for Bannon. Gone. He is so wrong about basically everything, that not even the opposite of his bs is true. Completely clueless. I wonder how he spent his time in the navy and in the white house. Even the second law of thermodynamics he didn't get right. It's not about human agency, it's about balance of temperatures and pressure in closed systems. My description might not be entirely correct, but his is totally bananas

Bannon sees himself as a sort Joseph Goebbels with Breitbart News as his Völkischer Beobachter.- complete with a slavish devotion to the Leader.

How is it "backwards looking" to free one party in a marriage from the shackles of corporate subjugation? It's so childish and immature to automatically take offense to the idea that maybe, just maybe, it's better if kids aren't being shipped off to daycare or state school and would do better being focused on by one parent. The better life IS staying home to raise kids. Going to parks, museums, sports games etc. Being involved with the pto and local sports league etc...these are fulfilling and rewarding endeavours for any parent. Wouldn't it be best, as Bannon alludes to, to have an economy where parents have the flexibility to pick and choose when they work and when they send their kids to daycare? Women who reflexively revolt against this idea that a better life once existed are insecure and underdeveloped victims of propaganda who rely on subterfuge to maintain their emotional security because of the mass cognitive dissonance injected into their thought process. Everyone instinctively knows staying home to raise kids is a better, more rewarding and more fun life, yet women have been sold a pipe dream and must insult anyone who recognizes reality in order to buttress their delusions. In fact, women like Margaret Hoover, who actively lobby against the idea of a stay at home parent are the backwards looking anchors on societal progress. Progress is less corporate subjugation, not equal corporate subjugation. The goal is to free adults to raise a family and be strongly involved in their community. That only happens when wages are high enough through economic protectionism that couples can get by on one salary.

I actually enjoy his interviews a lot, especially the two he did with Frontline.(kzbin.info/www/bejne/pp6Yqauils-HjZI). You learn a ton of behind the scenes info about Trump's election run and that first half year in the white house from him- and it's not all a bunch of fluff. I think he tends to speak candidly to a fault - like he can't stop himself. :) He's very intelligent and many on the left who have dealt with him say he has a very very charming side to him and it can be pretty easy to see that in certain interviews. He's a great storyteller and he's super funny when relaxed. In a way, he is surprisingly objective about how he assesses people on the other side- Obama, Mayor Pete, AOC etc. And yeah, I've seen his godawful side-Agree. Godawful. But boy, Hoover is right. He's stuck chasing an era that can never come back. The technology will never allow that, nor will most women be anxious to go back to being powerless in the world - a ton of the Millenials don't even want children these days. He just seems so misguided when it comes to judging people's characters. Trump seems to owe him a ton for even getting elected and gives him no more credit than calling him Sloppy Steve. And Bannon says Trump won't disrespect people? How is "Sloppy Steve" being respectful to someone who did so much for him? It sounds like Bannon is the one who invited all those women who accused Bill Clinton of misconduct to the event right after the Access Hollywood tapes came out and it totally distracted everyone and probably rescued Trump's campaign. Yet, Bannon continues to blindly believe in him the way Squeaky Fromme never gave up believing in Manson. I know this sounds psychological and maybe corny in its simplicity,. but I wonder if it comes down to something as simple as growing up in a big noisy family trying to fight for attention, much less the best leg of chicken from the table and never somehow feeling ok with yourself. ? Who knows. It's just too bad he too drank the kool-aid. It's amazing that an intellectual with this kind of worldly experience ended up being yet another gullible sycophant to yet another phony guru.
