I haven’t cried many times in my life, but I can tell you right now, when Cab started getting emotional/teary eyed in this episode about staying humble, I about lost it. Watching my childhood hero turn human in this episode was heavy. We love you Cab!! 🐉 thank you for everything

@@Detlevboi He cried because he was jealous of Tony hawk getting to be the superstar and basically the face of skateboarding when ESPN brought the xgames out. Looking back at it now he realizes that instead of being happy for Tony he was just being human, and felt bad for letting himself feel that way.

Amazing person! Always been a fan of him on the board, but the character it takes to admit how he was jealous of Hawk and Rowley, and truly let his emotions show on his sleeves touched me. Those tears he let go were one of the truest moments in 9club history! CAB fan for life....I mean the human as a whole...vertcab...poolcab...streetcab...motocab...artistcab...but stevecab is my favorite of all!

I love Cab. Him and the Bones Brigade were an inspiration to me back in 87 when I first started skating. Got to meet him at a Warped Tour in 2001 in Knoxville TN. I was geeking out on the inside and got a picture with him.

I remember in 2000 when that whole spirit animal line of signature Van's came out. I remember getting 2 pairs of cab's. You couldn't tell my black ass at the time I wasn't Steve Cab lol. Til this day this man plays a big influence of how I live life. I'm sure I'm not the only one. 🙌🙌🙌🙌

When he was talking about the nut holding basically the entire wheel together, it reminded me of that scene in Lords of Dogtown when they were throwing the urethane wheels on and the balls in the bearings went everywhere. Props to the director of that movie for all that attention to detail, holy shit! So hyped you guys finally got Steve on TNC!

Hey Cab, I shattered my femur about 2yrs ago, also smashed my hip in. Have basically same rod and pins as you and partial outside hip replacement... But I was back doing pretty good in like 4-5 months... I know youll be back better then ever brother. Loved the episode too 🙌🙌🙌🛹🛹🛹👑👑👑

Half Cab's are so sick, they have such a rad silhouette. The tan color way behind Crob looks so good, I think they're the most timeless skate shoe ever. They've lasted the test of time & have never been changed or updated, you can't upgrade perfection!

i decided i needed half cabs after watching mike carroll in goldfish. i was 12 or 13, they were so grippy and took getting use too, but they were great, got fs flips after 2 days. i swear it was the shoes. awesome episode. thanks guys.

I remember back in 1979 or 80, I joined campbell skate park total rookie. And I see this little kid yea I was kid too but taller. But I remember at that time Stevie was just killing it there was some other good skaters there to, but Steve just stood out. Such a smooth skater. But anyways my parents moved and I had to go to another high school. Andrewhill high and low and behold Steve cab went to that school. I was like dam that's Steve caballero and what's weard he recognized me from campbell skate park. We became friends. I didn't skate with him much he was in a different level and just progressed fast. He just became a great skater and you no the rest is history.

I have told this story 2mill X's but my buddy Ekim moved to San Jose after graduation and Cab was one of the first people I met along with Paul Sharpe. Cab was always my fave Bones Brigader so thank you 9 club for this reason for waking up and staying alive another day ☠️🎥🔥🐻

Steve Caballero along with the rest of The Bones Brigade was my introduction to skateboarding in the mid 80s. Granted I was in elementary school and could only push around and tic tac, but those were THE guys. Big thanks for bringing these legends on to tell their stories. We Love The Nine Club!

I have both 1989 reissue full Cab color ways(and I skate them) I’ve got four different Cab Powell decks (including three flight decks), and last year while wearing a Steve caballero shirt, I actually met him at the Dew Tour and got his autograph. Nicest dude ever. The autographed Caballero shirt is framed on my wall! Great episode. Steve is the man! Support your favorite skater!

Having seen damn near every episode this one has been the best to date. Cab was truly transparent and vulnerable and it made for an amazing show. 100% want to buy the Cab x Nine Club Half Cab Collab. The half Crob-allero would sell out in 20 minutes. Pro insole please for these old feet!

My 9 year old finally decided to start skating, he says “dad, you know that really cool board you have down stairs? Can I have one like that. That’s such a cool board I bet it does awesome tricks!” He was talking about my OG Cab ban this deck that has been hanging on my wall for years. So I tracked him down a cab flight deck with the dragon with the glowing ball. He’s a full blown Cab fan, just like I am. I could t be more proud of him.

This was an excellent episode. I always liked Cab, he arguably is the best skateboarder ever. He has the perfect balance of style, power and technicality.
