Steve Earle is arguably the most overrated artist in Americana music. He wrote some good songs but he's a hellishly bad singer and guitarist and a complete narcissist. But if you're a fan, that's okay. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I know a lot of people think Earle walks on water. I wouldn't be one of them.
