Amazing idea!!! What if it changed depending on if you completed World of Light? Like, before you do complete WoL, it’s a generic map of a Minecraft world. But, AFTER you complete WoL, it can appear on the pause menu as the WoL map OR a map from Subspace Emissary? It would automatically change to WoL at first, but then you & you could unlock the option to choose which map you want to see when you pause. Dang, I really want this now... unlocking the ability to change the menu music is a pretty bad reward for completing WoL. The problem is that that should be a basic function with no requirement to unlock. (I’m stuck on WoL and i really want it but don’t want to make a new save and start over from Square One 😭😭)

Wyatt Hagenbeck well... it is an “unofficial” thing like ‘squidbagging’ in Splatoon... buuut there COULD be one where he crouches and looks around or looks at the camera. I feel like I have a really good idea for Steve's moveset. Side B: Trident | It would work like Toon Link's, it's fast, but it arcs. You can aim at an upper or downward angle. But, if you hit someone off-stage, the trident won't be able to be used by Steve until 3 sec. are up. Up B: Slime Jump | Steve would jump on a slime block upwards. He'll also hit with his pickaxe upwards (Actually giving him a small advantage o grabbing the ledge). Down B: Potions | Steve pulls out 1 out of 6 potions. 3 helpful, and 3 harmful. A strength potion will increases Steve's damage and knock back. Speed increases his speed. Healing, well... A harmful potion will do damage. Slowness will give someone slower speed and t will give them fatigue. A weakness potion will decrease someone's knock back and damage. However, Steve can be hit, and drop his potions. Which means the potions can be used against Steve. Steve's Gimmick: Experience Points | Steve will start at Level (Lvl.) 0. Wood tools and dirt. Lvl. 2: Stone tools. Lvl. 4: Iron tools, and stone blocks. Lvl. 6: Iron armor. And, you said that armor would give him weight. Lvl. 10: Diamond tools. This gives Steve VERY strong moves. These are my ideas, hope you like it :p

i feel like potions could definitely be incorporated into his moveset, in a similar way to peach and daisy's turnips. he grabs a random splash potion - possible potions could include instant health, instant damage, speed, slowness, fire resistance and jump boost - and he can then throw them at the ground or at opponents. fire resistance could make you immune to fire-based attacks, such as mario's side smash and mega man's f-air, or at least reduce the damage and knockback you take from them. the others are pretty self-explanatory.

This is interesting but I feel like it would suffer from the same issues Phoenix Wright does in Marvel Vs Capcom. That issue being that he's too cumbersome to play and relies too much on RNG to be fully effective. I love the idea and I think it's more creative than most. But I think having to collect ores based on random chance would be annoying for both the player and foe. I feel like this mechanic would be better if ores were gained based on a consistent factor such as hitting enemies or if every fifth block placed becomes an ore. Also, big fan that you stuck with Minecraft's ingame animations. Many went for how minecraft characters look in animations, so big fan of your choice. I like the idea of having the skins just be mob heads but i think it would be nice if their body changed colour too to make them easier to distinguish. Overall, huge fan of this moveset.

Ender pearls would be nice, you could make them go really far but deal damage on teleport, allowing for a powerful but balanced recovery, imagine throwing a pearl right before you leave the stage to perform a "suicide" attack on someone over the blast zone

I like it, a very realistic design. So far all three dlc characters have been fairly standard with one central gimmick to make them stand out. It's likely a Steve design for the game would follow that pattern, and your idea of Blocks + Crafting would be simple yet representative to work well

Sorry for writing such a long comment lol. Regarding the skins, I think a good idea would be putting the Zombie and Zombie Pigman both in as costumes, as well as the Skeleton and Wither Skeleton if that could work, maybe add Notch (which I think Microsoft wouldn't like too much) and Herobrine too since they're so iconic, and that makes 8 costumes. About the name, I mean, they called Luminary "Hero", so I don't know if they'd actually call Steve... Steve, or if they'd call Alex by her name. There's a good chance they would, but Steve, even though he's so iconic, isn't really a character per se; his name, as well as his appearance, can be changed to be whatever you want; he's an avatar. I'd count on them getting a vague name, but the idea that they'd change name based on character isn't too bad too. I dunno, what if you could even draw your own skins and share them? Maybe even scan them or something that'd make it easy for you to use a pre-existing one. The possibilities are endless, and with a character like that, I think we'd have a lot of fun playing him. Even though I know it's coming, I can't help but feel excited by the thought of Steve being announced.

This actually sounds cool as hell. It looks like it rewards alot of creativity, which makes sense. I just have one bit of "advice": When you go over moves (at least in the same category), that synergize together like Steve's neutral and down B, consider going over them back to back instead of going in order every time. It might flow better and make future concepts easier to understand. Granted your videos often explain things faster than others I've seen so the "wait time" between learning how moves work together probably isn't a big deal. Just thought I'd give something to think about. Great job as always 👍!

Third:story mode is a new environment that many people like when it came. And it's still a good game to play when you have nothing to do. And fourth: Nintendo will not add if the Character isn't canon and/or confirmed real by thr developers.

Like your moveset, special attacks good job, the moveset I'm makeing has Steve use various minecraft items, like forward air could be a push from a piston, down air avail, and grab could be fishing rod. The final smash I made for Steve is called Mob Blitz, Steve summons the Ender Dragon, jumps on it and dashes across the screen, if connect a cutscene with appear with every hostile mob attack the player(s) and the last mob to hit them is a Creeper explosion which can deal damage to nearby opponents, still love your list by the way, oh and by the way if Steve has rockets in his hand while using the elytra he can actually shoot himself upwards, so why was thinking maybe Steve could charge up the Rockets like Diddy Kong's rocket Barrel, and then blast off

For character alt's for Steve and Alex, you can just go with the Legacy Skins they used to use for console editions as others probably, mentioned. But if you wanted to put in alt's for characters other than Alex and Steve, it would be a good idea just to call the character "Player" since (fun fact) that's their actual species name.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. The solutions I’ve come up with are that they’re flimsy enough that most Up B’s are strong enough to break through them and then the character grabs the ledge as normal, or if the character has a non-damaging Up B, it might be good enough for them to compensate by flying around the block. If it’s just too powerful, that aspect of the move can be taken away for balance purposes. It’s tough to tell without play testing!

I think it would be cool too if Steves Up Smash made him splash a fire resistance potion on himself first when fully charged. The effect would last 20 seconds or until he dies. With that he would be immune to fire attacks like his own Up Smash (But not to explosions even if they involve fire)If another player would stand right next to him he'd get the effect as well to make it more fair

I think his resource gathering should be altered a bit. Getting your ores from blocks you place just encourages players to run away from battle and only attack when they're fully prepared, which would be incredibly irritating to deal with. Plus, it doesn't make much sense. How would you get more resources than you started with from blocks you already have? Instead, he should get his ores from attacking opponents. It would still work similarly to the block resource idea, with the different drop rates for different rarities of ores, but they'd drop from opponents damaged by Steve. It would kind of mimic Minecraft's mining gameplay as well. If you want to get stronger and better materials, you're going to have to risk going into dangerous territory with what little you already have.

what you should have done for steve was to give him a ep (experience points) it would work like lucario's aura but it would show up in steve's hud, for balancing sake the ep will go up to 20. You can obtain ep by damaging foes, but it will go higher if steve gets a ko. If steve dies, the ep will reset.

I don’t think it’s fair to have the upgrades disappear after Steve dies, since it may take a while to get to that point, or maybe not since that is a main point in Minecraft. And maybe his victory animations could change based on what armor he had at the time.
