I used to live in ohio. It's probably been close to 30 years ago we had a neighbor and a friend of my husband that had a good paying job making $20 an hour. They were union. The Union said no we can get you more money we can get you this this this this this this this and this and they went on strike. Guess what happened. The company moved out of state. And said screw you we pay a decent wage and you're not happy guess what we're not going to do it anymore. You're not going to get more you're going to be unemployed bye

Mr. Forbes said that lower taxes lead to prosperity. He also spoke of monetary inflation. We'd have to cut spending to reduce taxes and inflation together. Can any politician do that? Wouldn't the increasing number of government dependents vote them out of office? Less seriously, Steve called Republicans "the party of getting a head". Thanks, Steve, but I already have a head.

Well I think you're right and that we need people in our government that spend less money. They need to start spending money like it's their own and they're not rich. Learn to pinch pennies and things would be better. But they're too busy lining their own pockets to do that. That's why they keep voting themselves pay raises. I think their paycheck should be a lot closer to our paychecks. Then they would understand what it's like. Also it used to be an honor to serve this country. I don't think it is anymore it's prestige yes but it's simply lining their own pockets it has nothing to do with the American people. I was recently shown our government's website stating that the people and especially the former military that do not agree with what the government is doing right now make them the enemy. So I guess we're enemies to our own government now.

I am 60 years old and have gone through the multiple job thing twice. When I was 18 and first started working I lived in a very depressed area and nobody was hiring full-time because they didn't want to pay benefits. So I was working two and three jobs at a time. Ended up working 7 days a week and let me tell you that gets old really quickly. Then after my husband passed I was working two jobs just to make ends meet. Finally went back down to one job and ended up on disability because they did away with my job and because of all my health issues nobody would hire me. Now after being on disability for almost 8 years I'm not even sure I make minimum wage. I can't get my husband's social security until I turn 67. Well I could get it but it won't make a difference in my pay. So I'm screwed and have to be dependent upon my son. This is not my idea of living.

They hire part-time because they're illegals. These places don't know if the new hires will not be deported ,why train someone who won't be there. Years back I was a foreman for a Big tree company we cleared power lines it can be very dangerous work. On my crew there were all illegals they were fair weather workers when winter came they went back down to Mexico so the company never made as much as in the warmer time of year, the company always over hired when possible hoping that when seasons changed they stick and stay, Some do but many times the women they bring don't because of the cold, A married man will most likely want to be with family , so they go back too , every season, When introduced to my crew my supervisor who's family had became citizens , he was first generation he workedhis way up fast because he was a good worker plus Bilingual he told me first day they get their job some know it some only do enough not to be let go , many are uneducated and cannot operate machinery they come from villages, small houses with dirt floors they're not bad people but not real industries so don't let them run certain machines. They say yea so I can run it, but you'll soon learn that's not so ,that is the part-time help.
