He's not bitter at all, he's sharing his mature viewpoint. Mature being the operative word. He will be missed however. He was the right drummer for this band. Sounds like he grew up and has no use for the playground crap that comes with the Robinson brothers.

Man, Gorman is the heartbeat. Wish they could be cool.
@timothya.olmeda72995 жыл бұрын
Part of the mystique that the band had over the years was always forgotten once they were on stage, and it brought them together in unison no matter their differences, and was amazing to witness live. It may have even made them a better band live in some ways, but ultimately things couldn't last in that fashion. From all of the black crowes different incarnations throughout the years Steve Gorman's unbeatable beating of the drums left its mark and solidified his name amongst the greatest that ever was, and for him to walk away from it and establish himself elsewhere unscathed except for a few feathers missing should be applauded. And in time everyone including the brothers Robinson will realize this that without Steve's wings flapping against the skins in the foreground the timing will always now be a little off.
@christoy48143 жыл бұрын
Amen, brutha!! The brothers’ childish attitudes kept them all from being the BEST band of a generation. And without Steve Gorman, there’s NO Black Crowes. “A band is only as good as their drummer”, who in this band, was also the heartbeat, the brothers’ songs are without their life.

I became a fan in 2005 when I heard Shake your money maker. I was 7 when it came out. So I missed the glory years. But that album when I heard it, absolutely changed my life. Chris’ voice. Rich’s guitar. Truthfully I loved it so much, I bought everything else they ever put out, and nothing came close. And some of it was downright shit. I don’t like that hippy shit. But on the strength of that first album, I didn’t care I bought it all. In my mind that first incarnation, yes Jeff cease, was the true black crowes. But MAYBE Marc ford was them at their peak. But Steve was a part of it from day one. And it would’ve been great to see him be a part of it. Because this is the whole album they’re playing, and I NEVER thought I’d get to see it. So I paid 180 a ticket to sit up close. We love ya Steve. There is no black crowes without Steve and I have a feeling Robinson brothers tried to rip Steve off and that’s why he’s pissed, but he is a part and without him it’s just the two brothers now. He was the back bone and was the only other constant member.
