I really loved this song when I was younger more than 35 years ago. He is about one of the only singers that has stayed consistent through their whole lives. He’s never been swayed by the waves of the world that try to toss us. But God placed this song so strongly in my ears this past week that it brought tears to my eyes. I could hear it so clearly as if I were listening to the tape but in a subdued tone so that I could only hear the words. I’m embarrassed to say that though this was one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life I thought maybe this was influenced by the occult (like something out of the phantom of the opera) which made me wary of Steve Green. But this week as it rung in my ears, I was so strongly urged by God to look it up. After a week a finally did, and was brought to this specific version where he explains it is STRAIGHT out of the Bible, and actually one of my absolute favorite passages. I had never thought of it that way before, and that passage means to me now, even more than it ever ever did. I have always felt God’s presence with me since I was a toddler and through very hard moments in my life. I often wondered if what I was experiencing was an illusion on my part. I never wanted it to be but afraid to fully believe it. Well, now I 100% believe it. I know absolutely that the Bible is God breathed, every Word and can be trusted. Now I know absolutely without a doubt my experience is very real. I thank Steve Green for singing this and for his steady life long witness which has never wavered. I know now I will never doubt God again.

I have absolutely loved this man and his glorious gift to sing since I was a new convert. I could sing his songs, soprano C, A-3, B-3 to just below middle C. Oh how I miss my notes, my voice! I look forward to singing with you in Heaven Steve!!! To God be the Glory!!

I accidentally got this sing playing on Serius via Alexa and I couldn't stop listening. I'm not sure what my favorite part is...the beautiful piano accompaniment or Steve Green singing.
