I've often said that Jeff Beck is the guitarist's guitarist, but after much deliberation and many gigs from both maestros Steve wins by a country mile, tunes like this are why, simply epic in its sweep and depth of emotion!
@sggreene554 жыл бұрын
I have always said that Jeff Beck is the greatest rock guitarist. But if I had to take one album collection over all the others......It's certainly Steve Hackett's. The landscapes he paints are far more engrossing, appealing, imaginative, tasteful, and capable of transporting me to other worlds like no one else.

I have grown up with Pink Floyd and never thought David Gilmour could ever be challenged as my favourite guitarist. However, the more I have listened to Steve Hackett's body of work I've realized how much more he explores the capabilities and complexities of the instrument, along with the effects he can use with it. D.G. has been dethroned! On top of all that, Steve is a genuinely nice guy.

Emozioni indescrivibili...

Steve Hackett and Steve Howe are two of the more brilliant all-around guitarists alive. A major reason for it is that they are both excellent classical guitarists. Classical guitar requires advanced technical skill and virtuosity. Playing it well distinguishes the great guitarists from the poseurs and wannabes. Steve Hackett is a truly great guitarist.
