I can see why Araki used this song for the name of arguably one of his most terrifying character’s stand. It exudes an aura of sort, almost a falling feeling with incredible strikes.

Wow!!!! quite the lineup to bring this amazing piece of music back to all of us. John does a good job on the vocals, not quite Greg Lake, but nobody is. Greg was one of the best, if not the best rock singer out there. RIP Greg Lake. Gone but never forgotten.

I remember being mesmerized by this music when it first came out. Not so much, anymore. I'm sure that my "moderate to severe" hearing loss has a good bit to do with this. Perhaps.., experiencing the "broad and sweeping changes" (sound presumptuous? arrogant? a little snobbery?) music has gone through in the last 5+ decades has jaded me somewhat? I seldom get the sense of awe that I always experienced in my younger years. Anyone else? Is this common to a person's aging? I really don't know. It certainly doesn't seem fair. Music has always had an unrivaled ability to conjure "fond memories", yet the memories, and the associated feelings seem to dim. Like my eyesight. And hearing. And mobility. And health. Just curious...

The older I get, the quieter favorite songs become. This sucks, but as long as I can crank it loud enough to hear it, then I am happy, the neighbors not so much. C'est la vie.

I feel that i lost this too. I remember being 16 years old and walking a regular route with my music in my ears, and how powerful and invigorating it was. And i think it was because my outlook was still full of potential of what the world and life can be. And then along the path, that sense in me dulled, and so then did the effect of music, because it didnt have any wonder or exaltation to pull from. Like you, i just could get the memory of it. Or sometimes it can take me back to a precise moment in time that i cant hold onto for long enough to place. And coming to terms with this was my own grief and loss to process. And like the loss of a loved one, i dont suppose that i'll ever stop feeling that loss. But i think that it just means that i have to do what i can to put anything even with a scent of that magic back into the world. If we have lost it to age then we have to do everything we can to protect the potential for young people to follow us in having the privilege to experience it for us.
