Rohanji, Ashes was played in the past with a lot of zest and zeal and the bitterness was palpable. Both sides had hot headed fighters like Flintoff, Brett Lee , Johnson etc.,. Now the players on both sides are level headed and less hostile. More over, with the advent of global tournaments like IPL, players from both countries are playing for the same franchise resulting in bonhomie. I still recall the Ashes played in the early 70's when the likes of Dennes Amiss, Mike Dennis and John Edrich were suffered body blows all over the body , especially on knuckles and fingers , at the hands of Dennis Lillee and Jeff Thomson and had to be hospitalized . Such was the rivalry and animosity between the sides.

They're still here. Stop watching circus cricket and complaining about the clowns. Test cricket remains a bowlers game. England have been bowled out for under 100 4 times in the last 2 years.

Rickey is the real hitler of cricket after 2000's. He never give up among any other player such an tough guy and dominating the whole world with his batting as well as sledging

Steve Harmison's brutal delivery cost Ricky Ponting a nasty one it hit him on his cheeks bleeding from blood all over his face. Felt bad for Ricky Ponting and Andrew Flintoff checked him and he was concerned about Ricky Ponting in the Ashes Series 2005. The Ashes England vs Australia since 1882 the oldest rivalry in the history of cricket. That's why everyone loves to watch The Ashes Series.

The Australians were an incredible force in cricket at that time and to see their best batsman get rattled that way is incredible. And to see the way they respond is also very interesting.

England 156-3, Vince just missing 100, Stoneman with 50. Cook failed, Root and Malan batting. Decent performance actually

Yeah. That can’t happen again. Otherwise...

Gavin Wj summary. If Stoneman and Root don’t get at least centuries, and the middle Order don’t get runs, that’s that. Or they can just park the bus and bat out 2 days. If that’s even possible with the players we’ve got. Can not believe Cummins got 40.

Ricky Ponting was the best captain for Australia in the old generation. But now Pat Cummins is the best captain for Australia in the new generation.

Usually one feels bad for a batsman hit on the head and injured, its just somehow satisfying to see when it happens to Ponting.
