What an amazing concept! Jobs was brilliant. Bicycle for our body like a computer for our minds. The streamlining (and efficiency) perspective is soooo right on. Job's brain was always working in completely unconventional and out of the box directions. His whole life was a pure example of living on your own terms while in complete service to positively changing the way humanity co-exists. Whew...

He most definitely is a genius. People underestimate just what a beautiful mind Steve Jobs has. You don't need a piece of paper to change the world of computing. He has a philosophy (associated with technology) which has always been prevalent in his endeavors. I truly admire him. Not becuase I'm an Apple user, but as a person of thirty-seven who has watched his journey for over 20 years of my life. I don't agree with his religious beliefs, but I'll always admire his artistic vision.

It's weird to see him so clear and relaxed and speaking in a one on one format. Especially at what looks like the height of his powers. Too bad the iPad / iPhone have turned out to be such passive consuming platforms, rather than actively challenging tools of creation. And no, sharing stuff you find on the web doesn't count. Given the processing power at our disposals, we aren't exactly stretching ourselves.

Key word - TOOL. I remind myslef of this everytime I get a little too overzealous about the tool, about the icons, about the gestures, about the social sites, the iPads, the iPhones, the MacBooks, the Apple logo tattoos, the lauding of every product that comes out, the modding of icons and desktops and having everything just right. Its just a tool.

I read about this experiment, and I think the conclusions we can draw aren't quite so simple as that the name is everything. There are a number of factors we have to take into consideration, even if passers by recognized this person to play very well - which they surely did. 1) Most people today aren't into listening classical music 2) Morning at the subway is not the place or time to enjoy it. 3) People are used to avoiding beggars or people who look like them, no matter what they are offering.

@musicPMA A bicycle allows us to travel faster by improving our efficiency drastically and enables our efforts to pay off far more. A car allows us to travel faster by carrying us on the back of an automated device, without us putting in any of our own work, instead relying on the work of others (fuel) that we've bought. The car for our minds would be outsourcing.
