As a Gator completely agree with most of this. So stupid and this kid wasn’t even the top QB. But also remember as much as his father, there was an LA lawyer and a Dallas agent who was also involved and trying to negotiate all this as far back as when he was with Miami. They were the ones who were reaching out to Gator Guard (which is now defunct). It’s the agent that convinced the Rashadas to sue, and Kirby is also talking to the lawyer reported yesterday. So there is a whole entourage that follows this kid around with their hands out. Kirby better be careful, he let all of them in the facility, this may blow up on him. As far as UF, this will all go behind close doors now and will not get reported as much but even if they settle Rashada has to prove harm. Well he got an NIL deal at ASU. He left ASU and left the deal there. He has an NIL deal at UGA which is probably bigger. Those $$ and actions are also now part of the case. Like the rest of this sad story, the Rashadas haven’t thought this through.

The contract that was in place had an opt out clause for either party at any time and the Gators opted out and after that there was no contract. The father is the cause of all of this kids problems

I don't know how in 2024 people are still saying goofy stuff like this. A contract means pretty much nothing unless it is binding and signed. The Miami deal was a binding contract Rashada had to pay to get out of using money of a Florida booster. The Florida deal could be exited by either party, and the Florida collective exited the deal. The kids dad played himself. The lawsuit is just a shakedown attempt. He may still get paid to cover up any further embarrassment to UF, because the only place this lawsuit can win (as I understand it currently) is in the court of public opinion.
