It's hard to play especially if you're a beginner. Slow practice is the way to go, if you're feeling frustrated go learn something else and come back to it later :)

Hey! The arch that has an H on top means its an hammer-on, from one note to the other. The slant, assuming that's a line, if it has sl. on the top it's slide from on note to the other, if it's just a note with a line it means slide in or out depending on position of the line, in this case on the 9th fret it's slide out
