I played this for my mom and her roommate while visiting her at her nursing home. She has advanced dementia and there aren’t many things that hold her attention. This was so beautifully filmed that both of them watched. Thank you for bringing the outside in to them. I love your blog and hope to visit Scotland again soon. ❤️🏴

Many thanks Steve and Alicia, this morning we enjoyed a fabulous trip to the Isle of May because we were inspired by your visit. We are 2 Australians enjoying 2 weeks exploring Scotland and seeing puffins was definitely a priority, and we saw 100’s maybe 1000’s on May. We thought Anstruther was the most beautiful coastal town and the trip from Stirling very scenic. Your blogs are terrific!

Thank you so much for this video. I arrived here via a beautiful song sung by Connie Boswell, thinking it was some fictitious island but it really does exist and your film does it proud. Stunning scenery and colours ! And the film just the right length to cultivate interest in the place. I could almost smell the sea air !!

A summer Sunday in 1952 saw a small boatful of Anstruther folk, around 15 in number...I was 8yrs old...a grand time, with a picnic and haring about for the entire afternoon...rabbits dying all over the place, due to Myxamatosis...birds swooping and shrieking...nobody was seasick going back even though the boat was gey rocky...thank you for reminding me of my only visit, though I would see the island most days and always loved the sound of the foghorns...dgp/uk

The lassie has a great sense of humour. And it's appreciated by a bloke old enough to be her grandfather, or her grandmother's husband (which is the same thing) right down here in Queensland. Beside the Pacific Ocean, our shores washed by the Coral Sea. Yet I treasure Scotland, the home of my father. My wife and I visited on somewhat of a pilgrimage. He was a Dundee lad. And we loved Dundee. The only bunny we saw was on Law Hill in the center of Dundee. At first light of day it hopped around beneath our feet, unaware of our presence. So nice!

What an amazing trip to seek out those elusive wee puffins, I was a little apprehensive about being out at sea after nearly loosing my life age fifteen when a very brave young stranger rescued me from a very turbulent and what seemed bottomless rough sea, but like the skipper said a safe and reliable craft to take an excursion in although it looked a bit bumpy on the return journey, this was an excellent trip to what looked to be a special and magical place, like you said Steve a tropical paradise and fabulous bird sanctuary, thank you both again for letting us share your wonderful company and amazing adventures! 👌🙏😊🤗

Yes Steve, if not for that 20yrs.old young stranger realising I was out of my depth caught in a rip tide and didn’t have the strength to fight it I wouldn’t be here today, goodness knows how he did it, I think my guardian angel was working overtime that day! after 65yrs. of trying to trace him to say a final thank you, I did it through placing my story in a magazine, by some miracle his wife of forty years who knew nothing about his act of heroism until he told her the week I placed my letter just happened to read it! coincidence or, fate! unfortunately he wished to remain anonymous, so I had to respect his wishes, at least he knew I never forgot him! My Guardian Angels have sure been busy over my eighty years, that was the most traumatic though! I was so shy and embarrassed at fifteen having to be rescued, all I could splutter was thank you and walked away, that is why I always wanted to find him all of my life to ask him to forgive me, in his letter to me last year he said there was nothing to forgive! I cried for days after reading that letter, he also said he remembered every detail and described it like it was yesterday, I also remembered it as clear as Crystal! I just wanted to give him a big hug 🤗 I still think of him everyday, maybe I will meet him eventually but not in this life I fear! Hope I have not upset you G,G. but that is one chapter taken care of, don’t forget we have a date with Jasmine tomorrow, so see you then! 😊🤗👋
