Another excellent interview. With such a formidable guest, Steve Morse, a living legend, a great musician and composer, not to mention an amazingly proficient guitarist....and only 542 likes. Criminal.

Let me tell you all something about STEVE MORSE. We spent all afternoon and evening with him at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp. At lunch he went around the tent and thanked every single person that was there for coming. He then sat down and we had a 1 hour Q&A where he told us about his life and answered questions. Not only is he one of the most talented guitarist who ever lived, but he is also the most humble, kind, and generous professional musicians you can meet. When we played together, he would let us do whatever solos we wanted and he would fill in the rest. At the end of our song , we went around again and all the guitarists got equal time to solo some more. He was smiling and having a great time with each band. He was truly enjoying himself. That evening we played out at the Hard Rock and he was the exact same- didn't matter if there was an audience or not. What and absolute gentleman!!

My memory of Steve is not the typical first experience. I was assisting with FOH at a venue where "The Trio" were featured (McLaughlin, Dimeola and de Lucia) and Steve opened the show with a beautiful classical guitar set. I personally was most impressed by Steve.

29:47! Yes I had a progression I could just barely play, the drummer (who had an actual musical education) said that’s cool now transpose to the 4th to add movement to the verses. It took me 2 weeks to learn to play it in a different position 🤣 Can’t wait for pt2 🤘🏽
