These guys are from Finland. They usually do bluegrass heavy metal covers & hard rock.they have 5cds out. The latest miracle the do a few originals. I became a huge fan bought them all....they are the real deal

My first contact with this band was with their version of ACDC's Thunderstruck! Meanwhile I know most of their songs, even have them seem live on stage in Munich, Germany. I must say without any doubt: they are absolutely musicians. Handsome guys, great musicians, amazing performers, love all of their songs, but especially their version of "November Rain"

I don't like bluegrass much, nor am I fond of country music in general. But if you think that's what this is, then I think you might not have considered the genius of musical improvisation that runs through every member of this band. Steve N Seagulls - I believe - have invented a new genre of music. Whatever you want to call this amazing mash up of bluegrass and metal pinned down with thumping acoustic instrumentation, it is without doubt refreshingly brilliant. Somehow they have taken the mundane bluegrass-Americana style (to my mind), blended it with 1980s hard rock - which is not to everyone's taste - and made it lively, accessible and fun for everyone. Simply BRILLIANT.

This is not really a "new genre". Iron Horse and Hayseed Dixie both preceeds Steve 'n' Seagulls about a decade. I recall there being a third well-known one, but can't remember the name at all. I love Steve 'n' Seagulls, I love the music and I like what they're doing, but they weren't the first ones to bluegrass cover rock and metal. What's weird that they're Finnish and traditionally we don't ha ve music like this, so they're actually bluegrass immigrants =P

I originally saw their thunderstruck a few years ago and loved it. I sort of thought it was a novelty and dint look for more. Then today I saw November rain and sent it to some friends of mine because one guy in our friend group plays banjo. BUT then i just left KZbin on while i was working and it rolled into this concert WOW!!! they are fantastic. I did not give them the credit they deserved. They are really good.

These guys are wonderful. Perfect for when you're too sober for Hayseed Dixie. I mean this as a compliment cause I love both, just differently you might say. I keep thinking I'd like to see these guys do a heavier (possible?) version of McKendree Spring's God Bless The Conspiracy. Epic reworking comes to mind. What a great collision of imagination, tremendous musical talent, and humor. I wish they'd tour over here.
