I Love that Steve-O & Chris are intelligent & mature. What they say about babies being comforted is very true, people think babies don't remember but they can get trauma from birth. Especially babies that are abandoned or neglected. Not having a lot of loving eye contact at such a young age is remembered in the brain

Honestly kids need constant support through adulthood, we are humans and crave connection. I'm a teacher and I see kids who significantly affected by neglect and abandonment from parents who work too much. Some kids are dropped off at 730am and don't leave until 6pm - then they go home to rush thru dinner to have time for a bath and homework. Where is the time for fun and connection with family? These kids redline like this for years until the neglect and abandonment show themselves thru maladaptive behaviors

Steve-O on the parenting license is something straight out of a THX1138 a George Lucas film starring Robert Duvall, based on ideas by Aldous Huxley and George Orwell. The irony is that Christopher Destefano said something vital just before Steve-O answered the follow up question; "I messed up my family by moving, my kid won't go to bed" Children want (as Steve-O correctly stated before) or even NEED order, you as a parent need to be that order. We used to live in strong cohesive tribes and villages, community was like a spiderweb and we were glued in it for our entire lives. Now we don't even know our neighbors, we don't know who walks past our home at any hour of the day so we have locks and security systems. This is why if I ever become filthy rich, my entire family can come live with me on my land in their own home like some sort of gated community type deal, if I were to die or get sick there will always be a relative near to step in. Not saying relatives can't be psychos, just ask Ted Bundy's kid brother, but the odds are a lot better with a community or a family than without one. The only ones to benefit from a lack of social cohesion are those who need vulnerable prey, be it corporations, indian phone scammers calling elderly ladies, burglars slipping into your neighbors house dressed as a handy man or a moving company and less likley serial killers.w
