They keep banging on about a £22billion black hole, but by the time they have finished squandering billions right, left and centre, it will be a £220billion black hole. The amount raised from the farmers will be a drop in the ocean compared to the billions that are being spent on their pet projects.

Lying piece of work. He doesn't care, he'll walk off smiling. It's a pity he wouldn't spend some of our money on a decent shirt. 😢 No one believes the lies about the 22 billion pound black hole. He's not only taking off the wealthiest farmers, but he's also taking off the poorest. 😮😢

@david1596011 сағат бұрын
This will be either a food tax or a food shortage. If farmers cannot recover the tax by higher food prices they will go out of business and that will lead to food shortages. Its one or the other.

If they are giving farming 5 billion why do they need to take money off them? If they got rid of the illegal immigrants there would be more money to go round.

Whilst everyone else's business has to pay tax, farmers aren't so special that they Need exemptions. More so when it leads to non-farmers taking advantage, James Dyson please take note.

@rayofhope111411 сағат бұрын
Average farm value to be inherited = £2.2 Million. Average allowance tax free for original farm owner and spouse = £3 Million. Thus no tax to pay . The problem farmers have is not the small risk of inheritance tax it is the lack of subsidy post Brexit and very low prices being paid by food manufactuters and Supermarkets. If farmers are struggling to make ends meet today it is not inheritance tax that is the problem - it is the prices pais for their product - pure and simple.
@algie-t2w11 сағат бұрын
Farmers feed on subsidies and grants. As for Clarkson, in 2013 he said that he bought his farm as a tax dodge - sorry, "inheritance tax loophole".
