What a great performance! I think between the choice of mallets and the quality of the recording/performance space this is my new favorite rendition. Major props especially to the second vibraphonist, they're going like a machine on those canons!

Mr Reich is probably one on the most important composers of this century.

I just love Reich. I think his music reaches me in a way that (most) humans don't manage through speech.

You don't want to respond to Reich in a musical way, do you? :D

Beautiful phrasing! I'm learning the second marimba part at the moment and this is a great inspiration!

It sounds more melodic to me than much of his other music. (I don't mean this as an insult to his other music, just as a general comment.)

Very nice playing. Is it an organ who do the drone on the background ? Or is it just marimba resonance ?

@daneekadoc8 жыл бұрын

I'd like to know the reason why Lady Gaga and Justin bieber make more views than it...
@daneekadoc8 жыл бұрын
This is very simple. If you consider your brain a purse, out of which you "finance" listening to music, you have to be r(e)ich in order to be able to "finance" listening to his works. Gaga and the like are cheap targets.
