This original composition of mine is dedicated to my dearest friend Steve Ostapower to honour his kindness, care, and always being there for me.

You’ve mastered Dex’s time feel-way behind the beat but never losing the time.

Sounds like you listen a lot to Dexter. Which I like very much.

You guys were cookin'! Great piece...and thanks so much. (No need to get into the backstory on the tune's title. 😁)

Kirill, alway a pleasure to hear that horn! where's the soprano at though? Keep it up!

Sound good! But the tempo is really picking up. But you are young. But it is important to talk about the problem and work on it. It can be fixed. If everyone in the band keeps the melody in mind at the tempo you counted off, that will help. The guys in the rhythm section should be able to sing the melody.

I don't think the tempo is picking up.

Yeah. Maybe a little. I was so into it that I didn't notice, but I think when I listen to the theme being stated @0:00 and again @10:44, I can hear what you're saying.

They had never heard the melody before, plus I think speeding up is often a good thing, not too much.

@@kpoudavoff I came up playing in Black clubs in Black bands for Black people dancing. If time was not perfect and swinging. They would say something. This music is based on that first. The trick is to play great jazz for people out for dancing and a fun night out. Speeding up the tempo is rushing and indicates that a lack of historical experience exists. Peace, no disrespect meant Kirill. Respect.

@@bobblues1158you should have told this to Dexter’s band, I’m sure they lacked historical experience, especially Dex 😂
