I took well over a 400 ton load out on that route from the harbour with just a DE2. With careful throttle management to keep speed as high as possible and keeping the traction motors as hot as they can take, it's a challenge but it can do it. Your scrap waggons were well within the DE2's abilities with correct throttle/motor management. Get to 35kph on the last turn before the climb with a cool engine and then keep the throttle as high as possible without destroying the motors. It smokes all the way up, you can almost smell it 😊 The motors wont blow if you keep it just before the end of the red section.

Those are levels of patience and commitment that i was not willing to put in to it at the time 🤣 However i am impressed that you were able to get it done though 😲

What would be amusing to see in the future would be DE2 and DE6 Snails (aka b-units) added into the game as well. The DE2 would have the advantage of being the same height as the slug, allowing the operator to better see the consist from the cab. I also think it would just be kind of a funny "why would you ever need this" kind of easter egg in the game.

That would be a great easter egg, also a great option for early game extra power. Being honest it would be a nice option as it takes alot of amps away to put towards powering the slug or snail which reduces the possibility for wheelslip and overheating. Making it possible to put down more tractive effort for a heavier load to pull out of HB&T for example :)
